Coach Portland is the most outstanding womens coach in college basketball that there ever was and she has always put the team first before hereself. As for lesbians, or perceived lesbians, maybe its best that they were not allowed to play on teamsof more then one, let them take up golf. PSU should stand behing coach Portland for the outstanding job she is doing with the girls basketball teams.

That's a load of Bull.
This is a GIRLS basketball team, not a Hetrosexual basketball team. The last time I checked, lesbians were girls.

If she IS discriminating against lesbians then she is not a team player, nor is she doing an outstanding job.

Interesting. This is a new one to me, of course I've only been reading here for a few months so I haven't heard most of these strange ideas. I've never heard anyone say they think lesbians should play solitary sports like golf. Maybe he thinks being a lesbian is contagious? Like if a lesbian plays team sports and accidentally touches another player that will make her a lesbian too?

No one, gay or straight, should be harassed for their sexuality.

Coach Portland has been hostile to "lesbians" for quite some time....I find it amazing that Penn State didn't get rid of her when she first made her well-publicized comments years ago.

So what if a player is gay or straight? Since when does one's sexual preference determine whether one should be allowed to play on the basketball court.....get a grip Ernest, it is the 21st century.....I hope the player who is suing Portland prevails big time....Penn State just fined her $10,000 for her anti-gay coments....Why not just can her?
