Balance is good. So is having a "go-to" guy who can grab an offense by its collar and hit a clutch shot late in the game. Full Story

Good luck to the Boilers. PSU played us tough for 30 minutes, but our depth prevailed in the end. THey are playing some inspired basketball now with Claxton out for the year and I expect them to bring a good game tonight at home.

I think this is one of those few road wins during a season that PU should get. I saw Lunardi had them as an 8 seed right now in the Tournament. He has 5 Big Ten teams in right now.

Yes,a well balanced team, but don't overlook the defense. Purdue has not played defense like this since the late 1980's.

Hey "Let's" just understand one thing, we Boiler fans don't value your comments, opinions or your basketball accumen.

So take it over to the IU board where you can get delusional with those beer gutted trailerparkers with no college degree who value your utterings.

"For opponents, Purdue is college basketball's version of Whac-a-Mole, the old arcade game in which one varmint is pounded with a hammer, but others keep popping up."

That's a hoot isn't it! Whac-a-mole... priceless - and how true! This team is only going to get more and more like that as the games go on!

Go Boilers!

What's your problem? I'm a Purdue fan and have no problem at all with someone making actual constructive comments on the story. You, however, have added nothing to this at all. It's unfortunate that any time a real discussion begins on these boards some idiot has to turn it into a pi$$ing match.

I enjoy reading "Let's Go Hoosiers" comments. He (I'm assuming, not she) actually watches the games and gives honest feedback. A true fan of the game, not just a partisan jerk that is so commonly found on these forums.

Depth prevailed? You played the same 5 guys in the second half - no subs! LOL - another delusional IU fan.

Iceman, I know you, I have called you for what you are for years. Why did you have to go public with yourself.

Let's go Hoosiers, I disagree with your postings at times, however, you do provide insight that is worthy. Sometimes you let your passion for IU get the best of you, heck, mine for Purdue happens often.

Good article. I thought this was a NCAA tourney bubble team. But as of now I think they could be a solid team, maybe going 2 rounds. I think there seeding will be solidified with another tough performance in the B10 tourney.

Hey "Iceman" let's understand one other thing. You are entitled to your opinion. But you don't speak for "we" Boiler fans.
Next time you wanna be a jerk, stand on your own and don't hide behind "we" Boiler fans.
Let's...thanks for you constructive conversation and observations.

Thanks for the kind comments from all of you. I know there are fans and then there are fanatics. Fans can have open minded conversations and fanatics believe the only team on Earth is their team and that no one else can have an opinion. I am glad to see that most of us are still just fans.

Calassan (spelling?) is really looking much better than he did in the pre-conference. I remember seeing an article where he said he thought his game was better for Big Ten play because of the physicality and I would say he was right so far. I agree with the guy who mentioned the defense as well. I watched some of that Illinois game and they really brought it in the second half. That punk Brock probably had something to do with that as well by running his mouth in the tunnel. Glad to see they shut him up with their play in the second half.

This kind of post is exactly why we do no get respect. DESPERATION. A guy makes nice, informative comments and you run him down for nothing. It is not wonder we are always second string to IU.

You can make all the comments you want here. We appreciate and are embarrassed at fans like Iceman. Hope all goes well for you tonight.

Geez, what a horrible loser.

lol I love the whak a mole comparison. Our offense has no real stars yet and thats a good thing because it does cause matchup problems for a coach. Our defense however is what is winning for us lately. Tough. Gutty. call it whatever just don't call them late for dinner. hahaha And i agree with that depth comment. IU did only play 5 guys the second half, not much depth to that. And the top 5 teams in the big 11 will be sorting things out between them now as they all play each other. This is going to be fun unless IU doesn't lose. hahaha

If we pull this off tonight, then I will firmly believe anything is possible for this team the rest of the way and an NCAA bid should be had. But as you all know, winning on the road in the Big Ten is damn tough no matter who your playing!

Purdue has good players this year but they also have a great coach which is mostly noticable at the start of the second half. Painter's trapping defense against Iowa was terrific. Who knows how far they can go? IU may have Gordon but we should at least keep these new players for four years and that is something good to look forward to.

I think we should hold off all prongostications about how good this Boiler team is until we have played Wisconsin and IU. They are the contenders and we Boilers are the pretenders until we show otherwise.

if michigan can hang with wisconsin like they did last night on the road, then anything can happen.
