Knights Basketball will be an NCAA tourney contender this year. Two VERY close losses to top 20 teams, one of them in OT by a basket. With a world-class facility, people need to get behind the Knights this year, could be looking at 12 seed or higher in the tourney!

UCF's performance in tourney was worth its weight in gold. And UCF made the most of it. First, got on national TV three times, our ONLY regular season appearances in history!
Second, potential recruits and their coach got to see the Knights play way, way above their heads -- literally. Top recruits won't even consider schools that aren't on TV.
Third, winning and losing close with an OOC schedule with final 64 and top conference teams what UCF lacked last season: that alone kept them out of post-season tournaments. UCF fans don't seem to understand what an achievement it was to not get blown out by 30 to 50 points the way most teams with our rating should.
Bonus: Tony Davis back and starting to meld with the squad as a badly needed forward. Bonus 2: The three centers started to mature against much better front lines.

Agree with everything you said, except about the play of our Centers, especially the starter,(his name escapes me right now), but as big and as strong as that kid is, he couldn't push a paper bag out of his way. Very weak under the boards. Hopefully he can learn from his play in the two losses, and get stronger around the basket.
