UTEP gets win, forces Game 3 vs. Oregon State

As a Beaver fan, I've got to say it's been great playing UTEP - saw the game Monday and was really impressed with the Miners and Coach Barbee. It's been a fun tournament, good luck on Friday. I'm hoping UTEP and Oregon State can schedule a home and home in the future because the Miners are a really entertaining team to watch.

Great Crowd!!!! I watched the game on TV and it was awesome seeing so much Orange. The noise was loud and I think in the end it really bothered The Beavers. One more win Miners. This tourney experience will be fabulous for next year.

Oregon State is not a weak team. You must not be watching. They play solid fundamental basketball. They have good athletes, and are well coached. The Miners have their hands full.

Miner fans need to hate the opponent to get worked up into a lather. Like the Aggies, the Lobos, and the old BYU Cougars. Your team is making it hard to dislike you. You play with sportsmanship. We don't see that much in these parts.

What a great game! Both teams are fierce competitors and it would be good to develop a home and home series with OSU. I am paying the price today at work for standing in line last night until close to midnight to get my tickets for Fridays game, but it is all good! My brother-in-law in Dallas watched the game and said the announcers commented on the terrific crowd support, gooooooooooo Miners!

I saw the game on TV and the crowd noise was put center stage. It was hilarious to hear the crowd everytime Shaftennar got the ball! Especially in High Def! The announcers gave a lot of love to the crowd, but they kept saying there was only 10,000 people there instead of over 12,000. I'll be at the game on Friday to watch UTEP finish them off and take the CBI! Go Miners!
