Sucky refs definitely didn't help the Jags, but they were never really able to establish an inside game, and it seemed like every layup or shot from the post was missed. They definitely left a lot of points on the floor, and really had a chance to increase there lead late in the second half, but bad shooting for an otherwise great shooting team really hurt.

Jags definitely did themselves in by missing so many 2nd half shots.

Didn't help that most of the crowd was Oral Roberts fans - it's a joke to call Tulsa a neutral site.

Nobody did... ORU was the host institution. Happens all the time in smaller conferences. Nobody complained that most of the crowd at the Horizon League tourney rooted for Butler because it was at Hinkle.

That said, congrats to Coach Hunter and the guys for a GREAT season. 26 wins is AWESOME and, in a fairer world, would be enough to get an at-large bid into the Big Dance. They deserve one, which makes it all the more heartbreaking that they won't get one.

So here's to hoping the Jags tear 'em up in the NIT!

Great effort by the Jags. Too much to overcome, though, with the ORU home crowd...

As an alum, though, I'm really proud of the squad this year.

They've come a long way from being the Fighting Buses... er... Metros.
I still remember when the school's fight song was the theme from "Cops."
Way to go, Jags!

Bummer. Was hoping Jags could get it done. Great season. Now go make some noise in the NIT.

that is if they make the NIT. Darn shame if they don't they got a good team.
How about that HS gym they played in for their tourney, that was impressive. must be new. I lived in Tulsa back in the early/mid 90's. they didn't have that gym back then. But the 1st time I saw their(Union HS) football stadium it blew me away. it was a real stadium concrete, not metal bleechers, and artificial turf. Nothing around here like that. of course football is the main sport in OK

Don't worry, they'll make the NIT.

26 wins is WAY too many not to get in.

Sadly, they won't get a home game.

well I hope your right, I really do. but don't get your hopes up. NIT usually go for the big conference schools. case in point last year Akron was 26-7 and didn't play in the NIT.

Don't know much do you. Purdue and IU did not recruit him. Better than anyone you have at Purdue by far.

24-7, and 15-3 in the Big Ten. Yeah we've really got it rough. Get a clue. IUPUI is nothing but a cheap imitation that uses the Purdue name, I wish they would take it off.

You are a poor excuse of a "fan" of Purdue.

What do you have against IUPUI anyway? You couldn't get into Writing 101 again?

Why do you care one way or the other if IUPUI is in the tourney? You must have one sad life, and I'm sure 99% of the Purdue fans are embarresd by you.

Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrler UP!

Great record. Now win a championship, something that matters finally. How many years can you choke. This is also the same Purdue that had 8000 people in Mackey 4 years ago. All bandwagon and fairwell. Sad program.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Pisces

If you want to make the best of the day you should lock yourself away and work on your own. This will make it easier to concentrate, especially if you're trying to focus on something that's fiddly or difficult. If you've got something on your mind at the moment it will be worth having a quiet word in someone's ear because they'll help you to get things into their proper perspective.
