This story fails to mention that the NCAA sat Austin Montgomery out for a ridiculous reason... he plays, Jags win.

Who names their school Oral Roberts? Why would anyone go there? At least there'll always be a place for un-socialized home schooled morons.

At least there will always be a place for dim-witted, bigoted mouth-breathers such as yourself -- right here on The Star Talk Back. Good luck.

Um...dudes named Oral Roberts who have enough money to found a university?

I'll give ORU some credit. A couple years ago when they visited IUPUI's gym when the teams were 1 & 2 in what was then the Mid-Con conference, they brought enough students (from Tulsa, OK mind you) to fill a section in the gym. And those kids had fun the whole game. They were everything a college student cheering section should be - loud, organized, costumed, etc.

The rematch in Indy is on Sat. Feb. 16.$10 to see D1 basketball - I still think it's the best ticket deal in town.

If IUPUI and ORU remain the top two teams the rest of the way, I think we can expect them to bring the students again. That game two years ago was one of the best college hoops atmospheres we've ever seen at IUPUI, in my opinion.

Atmosphere aside, these two teams always play great, competitive games against one another. I'm looking forward to the rematch.

This is a little off topic, but I am wondering if anyone knows what happened to Craig Swoope and Fred Konkourgo.

I believe Oral Roberts University is considered a very good private school.

That aside it seems like IUPUI always has trouble as soon as they play a decent team. Their Strength of Schedule was 277 out of 341 teams - which includes playing UMass earlier in the season. http://teamrankings.com/ncb/27powerratings.ph...
Their RPI is 110.

As usual the only way IUPUI will see the NCAA Tournament is by beating Oral Roberts (highly unlikely) or buying all of the players tickets.

For sheer entertainment value alone, look up the recent trials and tribulations of Oral's son, Richard (and his wife).
If you're lucky, she'll send you a text message.

Lindsay Roberts — who is a member of the board of regents and is referred to as ORU’s “first lady” on the university’s Web site — frequently had cell-phone bills of more than $800 per month, with hundreds of text messages sent between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. to “underage males who had been provided phones at university expense.”
