You would think after getting caught for this that IF he was going to do it AGAIN. That just maybe he might of at least learned how not to do it the same way to be caught. I don't know all the rules or whatever but really why would you use a phone that would leave a trail right back to you.
I'm no Einstein but Sampson really if your this bad at it maybe you should try it the right way.IU deserves that.

Illegal? You mean that recruiting phone calls fall under the penal code? Improper under NCAA regulations, yes. Illegal in the criminal sense, no.
On the other hand, choking a player to IU fans, AOK. In the real world, choking someone on the street, illegal.
I usually try avoid posting responses like this one, but you decided to be such a smartass, I really can't help myself.
"Illegal" does not necessarily mean "unlawful." And it certainly does not necessarily mean "in violation of the penal code." Illegal generally means contrary to the rules governing the specific situation. That's why in basketball, referees sometimes call an "illegal" screen. Or, in football, referees sometimes call an "illegal" forward pass. It is quite rare that an illegal forward pass in a football game is a violation of the penal code, but it nevertheless is illegal.
Long story short, you're a pathetic asshole with nothing better to do than to unsuccessfully attempt to make others look stupid with the slim hope that you will appear intelligent. I guess not everyone in New Haven benefits from his proximity to Yale.

Personally Sampson has proven to be a very good Coach and this ability shouldn't be undervalued and disrespected without much consideration and evaluation.(Go Pacers)

And just what evidence are you basing that statement on? Scofflaw has never been a good coach. His teams play street ball, he recruits thugs, his players don't bother to go to class or graduate....he will be bad for IU even if he doesn't cheat, which seems unlikely.

Wow, what a well thought out retort. Would you like to know another sign of intelligence? Intelligent people by now should know that the Topix Forum lists the location of the *server*, not the *poster*. I'm not in New Haven, nor have I ever been in New Haven. In fact, the last time I lived in Connecticut was in 1992. I'm sure that, in your words, intelligent people would have a better approach for their debating skills than curse words and the tired old "you aren't from around here" card. Just saying.
