I'm not surprised Mullens left. Didn't he say before college that he was going to? Even Matta knew this. People may think the $3M (minus taxes, agent fees, etc.) isn't very much money, but he should be given credit for trying to help his family. I would have liked for him to stay, but I'm not going to fault him (or really miss him) for leaving. I would have been more upset if Turner, Buford, or Lauderdale left.

Make the draft like baseball (rather than football)-- they can go immediately after high school or they have to wait 3 years. That way, only the better high school kids will get drafted. The others will benefit from 3 years of collegiate instruction, college team fans won't have to worry about "one and dones", and the NBA will have somebody else help (pay) with the development of the non-superstar high school kids.
