Good for him! At least he'll be making money! I hope it goes well and when the NBA (along w/ the NFL) get their heads out of their rear sphincters, then he gets his chance and has a great career.

Good luck Dave Lighty and thanks for all the memories!

I guess the days of making millions are gone. Good deal. What the hell is an Italian basketball team? He could make more money being a street sweeper in the City of Coleman.

They have some pretty good teams and players--think Kobe Bryant's dad or Dave Sorenson. No, not anything near in NBA in skill level or pay, but a lot more coin than anybody in the Sanitation Department makes.

Actually, he'll get more than you make in 10 years. These leagues also provide free housing and other perks, plus their taxed very little. So, shut up unless you can add something.

Such a wonderful opportunity. He will get a good start and if he saves wisely it will enable him to have a nice nest egg if the BB career does not work out. He also has a college education. He will not starve even if he has to make alternate plans for a life long careet.

Poor guy, consigned to playing in a country of ugly women and bad food. Also, clunky, poorly designed sports cars. Hope he can find something to do in his free time- Italians are such a dour, grim people. If you can't tell by now, I'm kidding. I would love to be in his shoes.
