Minutes into the first Saturday of the 2012 college football season, tears began flowing from eyes like they were bursting out of an open fire hydrant - the power and the glory of football is back! So when Ohio State's Devin Smith went up and made this insane grab, I was instantly reminded why I'm such a diehard fan in the first place.

Top play of the day was 6-6 309 lb DE Stephon Tuitt returning the fumble for a 77 yard touchdown. Damn he is fast to be so damn big. Our front seven is going to be damn good. Go Irish!

Purdue has a great defensive front this year so I believe that game is going to be a good gauge of where your team is. Nevertheless, Great win against Navy. I heard someone complaining about your last score.

they're D line was supposed to be better last year, I think we ran for 280 on them. We'll see this week. You are right, it will be a better gauge because they are a more traditional team on O and D. They will try to throw a lot, our secondary is our weakness right now.
