So Heap was injured all year and the team waited until now to put him on IR? Either the training staff is dilusional or Heap is. One of them surely has lost it.

Heap is done. Please show him the door along with the majority of this old, ragged team. I know he sacraficices his body to make plays, but his recovery time has been horrible to say the least. Word on the street is that his faith keeps him from using some medical procedures to speed up injury recovery. If this is true, then Heap should take his faith back to Mormonistan and leave the NFL to real players who do not have their head stuck in the CLDS.

The guy is softer then butter and a waste of money. I'd take Eric Green over him anyday. It's time to move on.

Heap's season should have ended weeks ago. As far as the rest of the walking wounded, they should have put the rest on IR too then fill out the roster so they can play Sunday.

Making fun of the guy's religion.Real classy.Heap is a real NFL player ,and his list of accomplishments is at least as impressive as your ability to make an ass out of yourself.Your head is stuck in your ass which is far worse than the clouds! Who is Eric Green? Is he the guy who played for us about 8 or so years ago? He didn't play long in the NFL if my memory is correct.

Trust me I'm not crazy. Have you ever had a torn hamstring. That type of injury can take up to a year to heal. I just don't think he's being soft. That's just my opinion and you know what they say, everyone has one!!!!!
Why not talk about the biggest fraud and phony Ray Lewis? A couple years ago he missed over half the season with a "bruised thigh". Now he missing his third game with a "dislocated finger" Unitas played with punctured lungs. Last week Shaun Alexander of the Seahawks played against the Ravens with a broken wrist. Meanwhile poor little Ray Ray can't play with a whittle dislocated finger. Waaaaahhhhh.

Actually Hank, Eric Green was a Pro Bowl tight end in the mid 90's. He played for the Ravens in '96 and actually did OK in Teddy's pass happy offense. That would be 11 years ago, not 8.

As for faith, I am not making fun of Heap being a Mormon. If you had read my post correctly ( which you have a strong ability not to do so), you would have realized that I was saying that if Heap wants to put his religon before his career fine, then he should stick to being a Mormon and leave the NFL. If his faith says he cannot use cortizone shots or electro shock therapy or whatever, then fine, so be it. But if that is the case, he needs to leave the NFL. Pro Football is a win at all costs business and Heap is an asset to this team. He needs to be on the field playing. If there is a clean (legal) way of him recovering from an injury quicker then the normal ways that you and I would use to recover, then Heap needs to take advantage of them because at the end of the day, he is being paid to play, not to put on his best portrayal of a cripple.

The guys is a warrior and I have loved watching him play over the years. But if his faith must come before injury recovery, then Heap needs to rexamine his choice of careers. Nuff said.
