Ban all guns and ammo, except for police and military. Or, you will have many more innocent people killed. Your choice.
My choice is to kill bad guys trying to kill me. I might make an exception if they are trying to kill you.

There is no way that school (and most Illinois schools) would want armed security guards on campus before this but many more of these incidents and they will be demanding them.
Until someone is willing to try something new and allow CCW on campus, consider this. Fire extinguishers have range, the BC chemical is almost as irritating as pepper spray, any return fire reduces the perps accuracy and after giving a faceful of spray, the extinguishers turns into a fat baseball bat. It will not do much good against a gun.

True, but it sure beats the hell out of hiding under a desk (kind of reminds me back in the 60's when the schools told us to drop and cover (using a blanket) in case a nuke goes off nearby.

The best thing to do is to keep a firearm as close but as discrete as possible, like the 2 students who got their guns from their vehicles and stopped the shooter at the Appalachian Law School in Virginia. While technically a violation of law, since they used their weapons to stop another school rampage they were not prosecuted. Bottom line, once again guns in the hands of good citizens stopped a major crime and saved lives.

here is a story that shows what (the presumed idea of a gun) can do..(( and I give the lady alot of credit for doing it , could have been dangerous )))...PHILADELPHIA -- A teenager riding SEPTA home from school said Wednesday she was attacked by a group of teenage girls over french fries, and wanted to thank the good Samaritan she said stopped the beating.

The 16-year-old girl, who was not identified, told NBC 10 News she knew others had been attacked on SEPTA, but said she had no idea she would be the next victim.

"It was just astonishing to me that many girls would come after just the three of us," she said. "I didn't think that was possible that me and my friends would be jumped on a subway station in a public place. I thought there would at least be help around somewhere."

The girl and her friends are students at Philadelphia Girls High School, and got on the Broad Street Subway on Tuesday after school. It was the next stop, which was at Broad and Logan, that 12 girls they didn't know got on, the girl said. One knocked french fries out of her friend's hand.

"Then four girls attacked me," the girl said, "pulling my hair and just grabbing it, swinging my head around and pounding on my head."

With no SEPTA help in sight, NBC 10 News reported, the girl said the assault would have continued if it wasn't for an unarmed vigilante.

"A lady who was sitting on the train near us decided enough was enough," the girls said. "She reached into her purse a little bit and moved her hand around as if she had a weapon. She's screaming at the girls to back up, and the girls yielded."

The 12 girls sprinted out of the SEPTA train at Broad and Erie, police said. The only description the victims had was that the attackers all wore shirts from Hope Charter School.

The girl's mother said the only SEPTA officer her daughter found was on the platform.

"I truly hope that this will wake SEPTA up and have them put more officers on the trains," she said. "Not on the platforms, but on the trains themselves."

Technically, CCW permit holders obey the law. It is a dilemma, should you carry your gun into an area with helpless victim signs, thereby breaking the law, or should you be a helpless victim too.
Tough call. I have always said I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
I found it interesting that of the hundreds of news articles that described the App Law school shooting, the liberal News Media mentioned that he was stopped by GUN Armed Students less than a dozen times. HMMMM No wonder the bleeding hearts fear guns, they never read good gun stories.

CCW holders 4 to 5 times less likely to be in an act in violence than those that non holders off CCW permits
