Advice from college coaches helps Giants

Full story: Newsday

NFL scouts loved visiting Chapel Hill this winter. Not only because North Carolina had three draft-worthy receivers for them to consider, but because there was little guess work when it came to watching tape of them.

This Giant team has more talent on defense and offense than any other team since their 1986 season.

I wish more colleges would run NFL systems. This run and gun stuff that teams like Florida, Texas Tech and Boise State run don't prepare their athletes for the pros and therefore their players are not as prepared for the change to the pro level. A lot of players picked from those spread option teams turn out as busts because they are good for that system but not good for the pros.

The Giants are in a very rare situation in that with one move they could become THE dominant team in the NFL.

Do what it takes to get Boldin here. We don't know how good Nicks really will be, but we know Boldin is one of the leagues best.

The D is already much improved, and with Boldin the offense could be equally effective.

Offer picks next year, like a first and either a fifth or fourth rounder. It doesn't matter because Boldin is worth it...

I could not agree more about Boldin. He's their ticket to the super bowl in my opinion. Young, tough and catches just about everything. Although that 6'6 reciever from cal tech could be one helluva red zone addition, Boldin is tried and true.

The Problem with the Giants wr's are there are no long term veterans to help the younger guys. I would not be surprised if they still made a trade or signed a veteran fre agent before the season started. Plus Manning will have to better on his checkoffs with all the new guys to throw to.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Leo

You're in a very idealistic mood today, making it almost impossible for you to view loved ones in their true colors. If they've got any faults you won't see them because you'll have blanked them out. This rosy vision of your nearest and dearest is fine if it doesn't last long but it will cause problems if it persists and you continue to brush any problems under the carpet.
