Virginia is sitting on a recruiting goldmine. Yes, the academic and admission requirements are tough, and UVA is not going to let it's coach handle admissions to a 'general academy' ala Coach K, but with JPJ, C'Ville, playing in the ACC, etc., anyone would want to play there.

How about a former UVa player with top tier coaching experience? Does the name Anthony Soloman ring a bell? He deserves another shot since the fiasco with the Bonnies. Shouldn't take much to snatch him off of the bench at Notre Dame.

How does a 9 seed manage home-court advantage in the NCAA tourney? I know in the men's tourney Duke & UNC regularly play in Greensboro or Charlotte, but Mich St literally played on its own court in East Lansing. What's the point of winning enough games in the regular season to play as a 1 seed only to face a 9 seed on its own court in the NCAAs?

Why wouldn't a coach want to come to UVA and follow Al Groh's motto?..."Why do a bad job for average pay when you can come to UVA and do a terrible job for excellent pay?"

Until Virginia can exercise a little patience and settle in long term with a coach then it will always get what it has always gotten....mediocrity. The best programs are long term commitments. There is no instant gratification in the ACC.
