The talent is there, but it is young and the effort was excellent (I was in attendance). I have been a defender of Eddie (and still am) but in my opinion he has to shoulder the ultimate blame in this one. You have a foul to give and you don't foul ? If you foul Amir before he gets to the bucket, they take the ball out of bounds and you can set your defense. I want to hear why Eddie didn't do that.

Why does the C-T insist on doing such a bad job of covering UNCA hoops? There was no meat to this story. It's obvious McGill had somewhere else he wanted to be, and covering this game properly was not his priority.

I was in attendance too. I don't mind not fouling in the situation, we just didn't stop the ball. Tough loss to a very good Radford team. We played well, especially being so undersized. Keep in mind that everyone thought this UNCA team was going to finish ninth; we are fourth. nctxnc always posts the same thing. I have no idea how someone can not like Eddie that much.

I think one of the reasons why a person might not like B's coaching is what happened last night. He often doesn't acquit himself well when he has to make in-game adjustments or decisions on the fly. Having said that, though, he's been doing a relatively good job for the past couple of weeks. It sounds to me as if nctxnc has a personal ax to grind with B. This team's young, not untalented.

Wouldn't a lack of talent and bad coaching mean a blow-out loss??

Eddie admitted to the C-T that in retrospect they should have fouled...I think everyone was caught a little off guard by the fact that Sean Smith missed the FT...UNCA had plans to call a timeout after a make, and I think everyone expected a Radford timeout after the miss.

With that said, who knows what happens if UNCA fouls...maybe Radford scores off a set play and everyone rips Coach B for allowing Radford a chance to get set...hindsight is 20/20

UNCA has been good in close games this year, especially for such a young team. That game could have gone either way...Amir Johnson made a big-time play in a big spot.

Mr. Blue,

I'm wondering what you'd like to see regarding UNCA coverage. How is the C-T doing a bad job and what can we do to satisfy you. As for "meat" to this story, do go on. What would have been covering the game properly? Thanks for the feedback.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Gemini

If you're currently keeping something secret it will really start to prey on your mind today and you'll worry about blurting it out at the wrong moment. It's one of those days in which you're absent-minded and completely wrapped up in your own thoughts. As a result, it will be hard to concentrate on anything else and this won't go down well in certain quarters.
