Yep, LeBron drives fast down lane

Full story: Akron Beacon Journal

So LeBron James was clocked driving 101 mph on the morning of Dec. 30. Holy speed bump, Batman, can we slow down a little? In truth, this is no joking matter.

No more speeeding, it is unsafe. your car can go 150 but the roads are safe only up 70 mph, and the legal speed limit is 65 MPH..also the other drivers cannot cope with another vehicle going 150 MPH, they just cannot react well enough to avoid you!
Save yourself for the Cavs and your children....
your one of those people that drives 55 in the fast lane arnt you?

Where did all of you learn to write this English? I would have said the "King's" (aka-Lebron) English, but he talks no better than you write.
Admit it, he broke the law and we could only hope that the judge is as harsh on Mr.James as the one in Nev,was with Mr. Simpson.oh.. thats right the glove doesn't fit.....so Mr James can get off with just a slap on the waist --but remember if he does it again it's cause he's justing wanting to get home to be with his woman.

I was pulled over for 88 Radar and 90 Pace on Dec 30th in Wayne county. I have a wife and an 8yr son. My wife works 70 hours/week and I am the primary day care giver of our son, . . The court has suspended my driving License of 365 days. I havent quite got the Lawyers that LeBron Can Afford. . . I am trying to sell my house in akron for the past 6 months and with no chance of legally driving there I face Jail if I try and I will surely lose my house over the next few months. . I will be watching this case very closely and will make sure I comment on the decision.

I don't know if this speaks to how much i miss Terry Pluto's columns, but when I was writing my earlier post I couldn't remember the reporter's name since I don't value his insight like I did Terry's. My mistake. I should have said, "Apples to oranges, McManamon". I wish this site had an edit key like other boards.
Then read the Cleveland Plain Dealer and leave the Akron Beacon Journal alone. The past is gone. Forget it! Things aren't so great for Terry in Cleveland so maybe he will come back to Akron some day and make all of you happy.

They are called "LLH'S" (LEFT LANE HOGS)...These LLH's idiots feel that they are going to force you to obey the law and will not pull over to the right, meanwhile traffic begins to bog down and back up creating the real danger...I despise these LLH's...!

I would be willing to bet that wasn't the only speeding/moving violation that you've had lately, thus the reason for the license suspension...and please, primary day care giver....for an 8yr old kid, he should be in school and you should be at work...even if you need to walk or take a bus.....and why is your wife working that many hours, you really need to get a job and support her instead......I'd be willing to bet your car is far more of a danger at 90 than LeBron's Mercedes at 101...

Actually it was my first ticket in 7 years, and that one was for an improper light in my back window.. my last speeding ticket was over 8 years ago,. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt though,... We moved for her management job and I work nights.. So I sleep a few hours, take our son to school, pick him up from school,.. Then I make supper for my family or take them out to eat,. then i go to work when they are going to bed...(Just to clarify that for you) Oh and By the Way,. I work only 4- 5 nights a week.. So Maybe I will look into that "Job" thing you mentioned. Lastly You must be spoiled with the busses driving through Akron all day,.(I failed to mention that that is where I live in Wooster NOW) Do a little research and you'll find that there is NO busses running through Wooster

Hey, and you know who else is on the road at 2:45 am: Drunk Drivers. What a great combination........a fool doing 100+ mph and drunks swerving all over the road. AAHHHH!!!! It's only a matter of time CAVS fans until your world comes crashing down. Maybe he'll use a driver next time as a result of getting this ticket, and while fleeing the paparazzi at 2:45 am, the driver ends up pulling a Princess Diana for us in his Mercedes. Just for the record I don't care about any of this, I just think its funny how big of a deal people are making of it.
I am not a CAVS fan. And, 101 MPH is a beginner speed.

Dear Lebron,

Thank you for what publicity that you still bring to Akron.

Without you, we would still have jack shit.

I know you will be leaving soon for bigger and better places.

I don't blame you.

We are chock full of kooky a$$ religious nuts that sleep better at night because they think the titty bars are closed down, and the cigarettes are extinguished.

We have no industry, no bars, but we do have one hell of a hood tax.

See you in Miami, bro.

This is complete BS. So what if LeBron goes 101 mph? Here's what's not mentioned: 1. He has a very high performance car, capable of turning and braking much better than most. 2. He has quick reflexes. 3. He is not in the middle of town (as he said...he does it sometimes). 4. His 101 mph is the equivalent of some minivan doing 87mph...very common in today's age. 5. In Germany, people are legally allowed to go twice that speed, and with less stable cars than LeBron was driving. 6. He's LeBron James, for crying out loud! 7. The 65 mph speed limit was instituted in the 70's to fight the US oil shortage instituted by OPEC, not because everybody was dying in crashes. 8. If something bad happens, he will be responsible for it. 9. When the highway speed limit in Los Angeles was raised, all these activist groups started raising cain that accidents would go way up and with more deaths. The result? Absolutely no increase in accidents or severity. 10. In the EU where there is no speed limit between cities, there is no great increase in accidents. 11. When you're speeding, you're paying more attention and are less distracted. 12. I've gone over 100mph numerous times in my life, and at least 5 times over 150 mph. No crashes, no problems. Cause I checked my tires, engine and car, and I didn't do it in traffic. Speeding does not cause accidents like the highway patrol says. Speeding at the wrong times and with the wrong cars and in the wrong conditions and by the wrong people do. I've driven almost a million miles in my life and I've had 3 accidents....all at less than 25 mph. Wake up people.
