Yep, LeBron drives fast down lane

Full story: Akron Beacon Journal

So LeBron James was clocked driving 101 mph on the morning of Dec. 30. Holy speed bump, Batman, can we slow down a little? In truth, this is no joking matter.

Just leave this guy alone. He'll be speeding out of Cleveland soon enough.

Mike Brown getting an extension? Wow, he's done a great job.

Danny's found plenty of "help" for Lebron. He'll be getting an additional 5 years at 10 million a year!

Yahoooo!

Guess Lebron has never seen a deer on the highway - I have. At least at 65, I had a couple seconds to see it in my lights and choose a pathway.

I second that "yawn". Complete non-story. Of course, you'll have the standard forum morons (like OMG) bashing LeBron because morons like OMG are jealous that LeBron makes a ton of money being good at what he does and morons (like OMG) don't make squat working in the service sector.

He was speeding. Who cares. He got caught. Now, he'll have his day in court. He'll get points on his license, he'll have to pay a fine. Wow. Just like thousands of others do in court.

Let's move on. Except for you no-life losers who like to bash. I guess this will give you no-life losers "something to hold on to."

I wonder what the ticket is or speeding on the highways surrounding Miami and New York.

There is never anyway to sustain a good story in Cleveland. Things eventually sour.

LeBoob as Mike Trivisonno likes to call him on WTAM, screwed up bigtime with his 101 mph speeding. This is worse then when he wore his NY hat to the Indians playoff game. It just shows how immature he really is. He's just another spoiled rich super athlete who thinks he can get away with murder.
As for being a great dad, he hasn't even married the woman after two kids. Come on, he's no role model dad. LeBoob seems to fit him doesn't it?
You recently told us about attending a Cavs game. Love LeBooby, don't you Grumpy? Just like you love the Indians and really are a closet Browns lover as well. You and Triv are strikingly similar: You both are bafoons who know nothing what you're talking about. Don't worry about LB and his ticket. His mother gets off on DUI.....this is a piece of cake.

Speeding is a far cry from murder - is that an OJ reference? LeBron is wrong in this instance and will pay the fine and move on with life, why don't we focus on what he brings to the community. I'm not saying he is a positive role model in all aspects of his life but don't just focus on the negative, there is a great deal of positive as well. You never know what you had until it is gone and I guess we will know in about 3 years.

Gawd, doesn't the Beacon realize there are plenty of legit stories to write about out there. They always beat a dead horse. One story about Lebron's speeding ticket was MORE than sufficient.

Not to condemn or condone (although there's no condoning putting others' lives at risk), but I wonder how many of you, say a century ago, would have felt the same about Ty Cobb's off-field behavior? This isn't a race issue and has nothing to do with petty jealousies.

Would you give Cobb a free pass because of his sports accomplishments or value to his (your favorite)team?

Just goes to show you its plenty of Klansmen in Ohio. What is a Klansman using Bobby Phills name reading the ABJ for? Shouldn't you be plotting the next race war some dumb sh.. Shouldn't you be teaching OMG how to put his pillow case and sheet on the right way since he's a Klansman in training. Go back to your compounds you morons.

Anyone who quotes Triv or "the big one" is a sheep; A mindless, brainwashed follower who has no opinion of his own. If you listen to that clown on a consistent basis, you are not only easily manipulated, but you have a soft spot for garbage radio as well. Enjoy being talked down to by someone who sounds like he has half of a chicken wing stuck in his gullet. I'll pass.

Lebron James is the greatest athlete to ever don a Cleveland jersey, and is well on his way, at the tender age of 24, to being the greatest player of his generation. In addition, while not being perfect, he appears to be a level-headed person and a good teammate.

Bunch of ignorant fools, you are.

You're a moron. Who cares if LeBron has kids out of wedlock? At least he is IN THEIR LIVES and RAISING THEM -- unlike many absentee parents out there. He is also living with the mother of these children and they have been together for HOW MANY YEARS NOW?!?!?

I hate to tell you, but you religious moronic losers who constantly bring this up just show how stupid (and hypocritical) you are. And as far as you going to a Cavs game...rrrriiiight!

[QUOTE]Triv and I do have something in common, we are both Mr. Know-It-Alls and we are always right..
Keep on wet-dreaming, loser. The only thing Triv has going for him is that he does not have any competition on the air at that time. And You are NEVER right. Moron.

Exactly---so he got a speeding ticket. He'll go to court like anyone else going that speed. No big deal.

As for the rest of the article, and the one in the PD, making a big deal of out of how one should never drive that fast anywhere, haven't they ever heard of the autobahn(yeah, parts of it have a speed limit now, but many don't)? Then there those interstates in the western deserts, where 100MPH would not seem all that fast. Texas, of course, has an 80MPH speed limit on certain interstates in the western part of that state.

So 100MPH isn't a "good" speed to be driving, there are places it might only seem "slightly too fast". Granted, I-71 in Medina County is not one of those places. As for 101MPH has obvious results in a crash, very similar results would occur at 75-80MPH,which are legal speeds in other states.

Actually, Ohio is almost surrounded by 70MPH states(MI,IN,KY,WV). I'd ask what's holding us back---but then I think of another thing 4 out of 5 surrounding states has that we don't: casinos.

Wow.. now we're discussing his children and their mother? Why should any of us care whether or not he ever marries that woman. If she likes it hell I love it. He is clearly taking care of her and their children which is a lot more than a lot of married fathers do. He's provided them all a wonderful life and he appears to love them and include them in his job. Sure speeding can be dangerous and it's most certainly illegal and he will pay the price for it just like you or I. However, some of you really need to get off your high horse because we've all driven above the speed limit at one time or another. Go Lebron! Go Cavs!
