Congratulations to the players,a victory over a Div. 1 foe on the road, albeit it a weak one,is an accomplishment to be proud of.

Yes, now that's what I'm talking about! I have no doubt that these guys are much better than they are given credit for. Now that arrogant UTEP coach that boasted on his great win against us last week, even with players having had their fingers full of Turkey Leg grease, can lick his chops. UTEP LOST THIS WEEKEND AGAINST TEXAS....67 TO 7!!! or something like that.......... looks like you-all WILL BE BLAMING IT ON... we had too much Turkey Leg grease on our hands!! GO AGGIES!!!!!

I still cant believe that we won. I know that in the great scheme of things this is a sad win because we are two of the worst college teams out there but it dont matter to us. Its not every day that we beat UNM and so lets enjoy it

I hope that that idiot Rosenbach doesnt decide to put Fleming back as the starter. Like Teddy said, Fleming didnt do much as the drive was run dominated. I thought that the team played much better with Walls and for his first game played better than how Fleming did against Idaho.

I am happy for the Aggies. They needed this game to show that they are improving. It will be interesting to see what happens in San Diego next week.

On the other hand the Lobos are in real trouble. They go to Lubbock next week on a nationally televised (scheduled in the begining of the year) game. Texas Tech is mad over their loss to the Houston Cougars. I am sure they will take it out on the Lobos.

All this being said the Aggies, Aztecs and Lobos are still the poorest teams I have ever seen play. Talk about needing O-Linemen!!!!

What scares me is that they all recruit California. If I was a southern California player I would go to San Diego St.(Closer to home).

USC had the largest camp in history last summer and they are equal to most of the Pac 10 teams except for three. What is going on with the high school football in California?

No matter if it was a victory over a lousey UNM team, it IS a win! During my 4 years at NMSU, we never beat UNM and haven't beat them since 2002. Sometmes you have to take these kinds of victories as they may spark something great. I take it all with a grain of salt, and know Coach Walker is not going to make NMSU a powerhouse, or change the team over night, but you have to take the good with the bad, and use the good to keep winning games! Keep on truckin Aggies!

Not the prettiest win but, after losing 6 straight to the loobs, well take it!!

Although it was a team effort, I'm really big on that Walls kid. He's a freshman, he had some tough moments and some very good moments. He's gonna be a good one!

Congratulations Aggies!! Great win on the road in a hostile environment. I don’t think we were the better team going in to the UNM game, but Coach Walker had his team ready and fired up for this game. They also played within their self’s and under control, no stupid penalties. Keep developing and improving this season and I feel we have a great shot winning 3 more games. I know that may sound crazy that NMSU could actually win 5 games in coach Walker first year but if the defense can bring that type of effort every week they could actually do it.

This was a great win.

They fought it hard and
both teams played with plenty of room for improvement.

I was so happy for the Aggies. Great job, Men!

Despite some pretty bad calls by referees.....

It's pretty cool to see those from Albuquerque
with their mouths gaped wide open and nothing coming out for a switch.

To translate what he said, he like to play NMSU on the playstation and because he can win on the game leads him to believe that it will translate in to the real world. He's hoping that Walker can recruit well enough for his game-based prediction to come true from the Northern Virginia think tank that it is famous for.

I hope Rosenbach sees the potential in a two quarterback system.

Often the biggest problem is egos. If Fleming and Walls can recognize that each presents a different problem for defenses and accept that each has a different role to play as _a_ quarterback instead of being _the_ quarterback then we might just have a shot at SDSU and Louisiana Tech.

The Aggies didn't win this game because of Fleming, Walls or any other player. They won it as a team.

I am so proud of my school for this win. It pays to have faith in your team, coaches, and school, even after a butt whipping from UTEP. This is a huge win for Walker, but a bigger win for everyone in Las Cruces. Can you feel the atmosphere changing? Our Aggies played a hell of a game. Let's go get San Diego State, boys.
