It must have been worst than assault! Maybe murder! Or double parking.

You know, when I read this article, I was going to type up short joke about how bad the Lobos are, or how stupid the admin is, but I realized that I didn't need to. They don't need any help when it comes to that :P

When is it going to be enough for the Locksley experiment? The only thing we have seen from this coach is lawsuits, suspensions, fights and the loses. UNM needs to cut its ties with Locksley and move on already. This has been one long, agonizing train wreck.

“Talk is Cheap” It is easy to critize, but you probably haven't walked in his shoes. By your own admission "TALK IS CHEAP".

Thanks for making us look good this year Lobos! He should've just punched an asst. coach then he'd only miss one game.

nuttythang, talk is cheap and locksley has said too much BS trying to save his sorry self in interviews in which I am not impressed. He is wrong by his antics and assaults on other people. He definitely is a very poor role model for the players on the bobo team...your words seem to amount to less than 2 cents....enjoy "Topix" jock-head!...

Unfortunately this team should not be this bad. They talked about having talent but this team does not appear to have ANY talent aside from the RB's. Wyoming has put it together and even San Diego State is a better team. This has just been disastrous.

they need a better coach or maybe he needs to beat up to perform better.

Locksley is suspended for one game; applying the schmidly, Krebs and Locksley code of justice, the only rational explanation for the undisclosed violation is the player must have murdered someone.

Meanwhile the plot sickens regarding these three useless, inept, incompetent, greedy, stupid, thieves who've already stolen unknown sums from the taxpayers and the students because of their inability to function as administrators, leaders or academics while garnering salaries and bonuses for achieving little in the way of positive progress at UNM. Unfortunately, these clowns disguised as administrators and leaders, will get off, not by rapid termination, but by walking off with additional millions from hardworking, tuition paying, taxpayers and alumni contribututors who used to think UNM was a worthwhile operation. These three have, unfortunately, shown how wrong this thinking was.

Thus, while the contributors to UNM are all but forgotten, these three competitors for the title of UNM anti-christ continue to draw undeserved compensation, bonusesand conyinuing contributions to their pension plan, all paid for by --guess who.

They should get rid of Locksley and Krebs!

Whats wrong with hiring a local coach? A local administrator? Why not keep these big salaries in the state?

Urlacher proved there are talented players in the state as well. We are much better off recruiting and promoting them.

Truly I believe the HR folks made a mistake with their decision to suspend Locksley for one game instead of ridding the program of expensive rubbish. IF fired, he would have had no big money pay-off as he DID violate the contract by embarrassing the college with his actions. REALLY, when ESPN and FOX Sports make comments about UNM as a football team and under any other circumstances, folks would be fired for violence in the workplace, how much more embarrassing can it get? When you see little to no improvement in the next 2 years, people will remember this and ask why something wasn't done. On the other hand, if he can show vastly improved coaching skills, leadership, and a true remorse for what has been done, then we will see the wisdom in keeping him as a coach.

With that said, what happens if the interim coach and the team beats the absolute living 4311 out of UNLV, what will the conversation be then?

Oh, this just gets better and better, no?

As far ass the kid goes, whatever it was MUST have been way worse than punching someone. Any ideas as to what it was?

When the coach, a supposed role model, is out of control then the players will follow.

It is my hope that Krebs and Schmidley are smarter that they have been acting. I am hoping that they are trying to aviod a lawsuit by the receivers coach that was assaulted. With that in mind, I am hoping they made Locksley give them his written resignation, dated for the end of the year. Doing so would would avoid the lawsuit and give him to move on with out further harm to the program.

BTW, there are other rumors of players fleeing the sinking ship and recruits looking elsewhere.
