How many casinos are in the Albuquerque area? They all seem to be still in business.
Sunland Park wants to monopolize the area since Speaking Rock closed. Their primary objective is horse racing, the casino should be secondary, but since hardly anyone wins much they make lots of revenue off the slot machines.
It's past time for Texas to legalize gambling, keep the money in Texas.
Economically if you look at damages from the hurricanes and tornadoes, their concerns were getting the casinos up and running again. Tourism is dead in El Paso, take a look around.
