Special teams weren't so "special" this week, were they Coach? But a win's a win. Even if it was against the Sisters of the Poor.

Does jUTEP still want to Fire Price?

Rice is the next victim and they aren' exactly the Sisters of the poor.

I love my Miners, but were 4-1 vs teams with a combined 1 win (excluding app. st)

Yes I do. What has Coach Cupcake accomplished in the six full seasons he has coached at jUtepia? And don't repeat his "two 8 win seasons, two bowl game appearances" rubbish. Those players weren't his recruits. Since then "HIS" recruits haven't accomplished squat!

Oh, you're so giddy about four wins this season? Let's take a look at who those four wins came against:

Arkansas Pine-Bluff (D-II)
NMSU (should be D-II)
Memphis (better known for it's basketball program)
UNM (definitely should be D-II)

Wins against cupcake programs are expected! Now that jUtepia has had its preseason, it's time to face some real talented D-I football programs.

Don't be fooled by the records of Rice, UAB, Tulane, and Marshall. Look at the teams they've played against. Certainly not cupcakes, that's for sure. And don't forget about SMU and Tulsa either!

Your standards and expectations of this football program may be low, but mine are high, and I expect more out of them, and demand it. When Coach Cupcake brings home some trophies, then I'll get excited! I'm not holding my breath!

FIRE PRICE NOW!!!

I agree with Miner4Life...you guys want perfection...hate to break to you all...there is no such thing! A win is a win! We r not playing for style points and last time I checked the object was to have at least one more point than the other team on the scoreboard. Heck the miners had 18 more points than they did today! Go Miners! Keep it up guys and can't wait to be in the sun bowl next saturday!

I'd rather have "Coach Cupcake" get us SOME wins than the previous years where we would only win 1 or 2 games - hell, before him, we would have lost to these mediocre teams - in fact, UNM reminded me a lot of how we used to be in the 1990s. As for "expectations", unless you break every NCAA rule and have cash to burn on recruits and illegal payouts, you are not going to be a national contender.

P.S. Who are you to "expect and demand"? Are you Stull? If we fire Price, who do we get to coach for the peanut salary we offer? Get real.

If I am not mistakened, but doesn't winning bring in revenue, publicity whether its good orbad whichstirs up a little buzz?
Before you know it, people are listening, and they get on the bandwagon and they a re showing up to the game.

Granted you want the REAL fans, but there are only about 15,000 of them out there.

I am NOT a fan of Price, but when the stats dont lie, he has accomplished milestones (in UTEPSbook) nore than any other coach in the ladt 15 years.
That pretty much speaks for itself.

I knock the wins to because of who they beat, BUT a WIN is a WIN.
Only problem is, UTEP is setting themselves up to go to a bowl game somewhere in Detroit, or to the International Bowl in Toronto AFTER the National Championship game is played.

Gotta start somewhere (again)
