Last place in The WAC? Is this not the program so many folks folks in Hawaii were saying should be in the PAC-10 for so many years? Whatever June Jones was or was not, the man could coach "O" and was capable of outscoring anybody on any given night, particularly in Hawaii... Rule one for a successful coach and/or business person, is to know when to deploy the exit strategy... Good call, June...

When does AD Donovan get some culpability in this mess, and the UH Athletic Deparment et al?

Greg McMackin and about 20 other lavishly overcompensated UH administrators need to have their salaries cut by 80%.

That would be a small step in reordering UH's academic priorities.

Calculate the cost per touchdown. Then compare that amount with the number of undergraduate tuition waivers that could have been awarded to deserving, hardworking UH college students.

this season could not end soon enough.. I would like to see a young, aggressive coach come in here. maybe even a successful high school coach from the Islands. Yeah, I know there is still a miracle chance we can reach the Hawaii Bowlwinning last 5 games. The problem is Navy and Wisconsin will kill us. This losing and the lack of fundamentals, tackling issues, lack of discipline etc etc...No good quarterbacks either. Something we may not need to worry about this year, however, if lising continues to linger into 2010 I see big problems-
attendance:
I see huge drops.
Last night San Diego State had 12 thousand for game at Quallcom vs New Mexico. They all sat on the opposite side of the so it appeared less. I think it was a little under "announced"
San Jose STate averages like 10k
The NCAA i thougt mandates minimum home averages of 15 thousand a game to have a school remain elgible for div 1 status
I am concerned Greg is losing us even more recruits in state

Jim Donovan needs to call Hal Mumme to be the offensive coordinator. In 18 seasons as a collegiate head coach, Mumme's primary starting quarterbacks in his Air Raid Offense have averaged 3,686.7 yards and 31.72 touchdown passes per season. He may not been a good head coach but he knows the spread offense. He is at McMurry University a team that was 2-18 in the last two last years and now are 4-4 under him. This way Mack can give his attention to the defense. Hey I know he failed trying to turn New Mexico State into an Air Raid team from a running team. Here he gets a team already loaded for the pass attack. Hey Jim Donovan here is his son’s email who is the offensive coordinator for Hal. Get in contact with him. As AD time to make a bold move. If not Hal then maybe Matt or bring them both in. mumme.matt@mcm.edu <mumme.matt@mcm.edu
