Nevada Wolf Pack NCAA Football

Home stretch starts - Hawaii Sports

Full story: Honolulu Star-Bulletin

A dangerous dual-threat quarterback accompanied by a productive runner. Sound familiar? After spending an afternoon in Reno, Nev., tracking Nevada's prolific backfield combination, the Hawaii defense will have a similar challenge awaiting them back home this weekend.

Good thing we have the weaker 3 teams next. Will make Coach Mack $90,000 a month pay look good. He's smiles every time he cashes his check. Us teachers get furloughed.

Well Mac, is it time to worry now?
You don't diserve to be in Hawaii and have bought the football program to it's low point.
I were in charge you would be gone by now.
This will also bring down the recruting for future years.
Mack if you were any type of a man you would opt out of your current contract and resign from the coaches position.
You don't diserve the Aloha the people of Hawaii have given you.

If people don`t attend the remaining games we will send a real message to the Athletic Director and the University of Hawaii administrators, that we want REAL change. Either fix our football program, or do away with football. Most important is to get rid of over paid Coach Mac and bring in a real head coach. He has ruined our football team. I have other things to do with my hard earned money then to support a terrible program !!!!!

yep, i'm a imitation fan. When they put a genuine team, than I become a genuine fan.
When they put an imitation division 1 team, then I become a imitation fan...
I use to be a "instant fan". I expected the coach to just add water, mix and get a finished product. I realized that recipe got lost when they changed coaches.

everyone jumps on the band wagon when you're a winner but people lose faith and point fingers when times are hard. the warriors are just like their namesake. they are true warriors and I never see them give up no matter what the score or outcome. give them credit because they play hard and proud. look at the silver lining in this. it took june jones how many years to get into the BCS. I remember when people wanted his head too during his lean years. wait till Mac gets all his own recruits in...have faith people of Hawaii. stick by our WARRIORS!

If it weren't for the fans who are voicing their criticisms of the coaches and games, the team would not improve. I want to say 'thank you' to all who have the guts to go against the grain of what a 'true' fan is. These fans who are seen as not being 100% supportive are the true fans. They want what is best for the program. They are the true Warrior fans. They will not settle for less than 100% from the coaches and team because they know that, while personnel change, our Warrior Football program will be there long after the coaches and players leave. Their love goes beyond the here and now.

We are not kool-aiders, we are not haters. We are Warrior fans!

It's all part the game. Some seasons you have a winning team and then other seasons you have a struggling team but you have to take several factors into consideration like coach experience, players experience, number of guys injured etc. I am a Warrior fan for life win or loose it's all part of the package. You have to accept the go and the bad. Go Warriors ! Go Warriors ! Go Warriors !

Nevada is ranked 58th and Utah State is ranked 107 and New Mexico State is ranked 110 and San Jose State is ranked 116. Hawaii is expected to win against some of the worst teams in Division IA football and the bottom feeders of the WAC. Hawaii can "earn" a bowl bid by beating Navy/Wisconsin. I don't think a bowl bid is gonna happen for Hawaii this season.

And you do? We are in the WAC idiot. We're not a BCS school. Go quietly drink your koolaid in the corner somewhere.
