Dave Brandon is a smart businessman, saves the University $1.5MM just by being patient. Of course, he must wait on Harbaugh's decision as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh came out with a statement saying he's staying in CA, in which case Rich Rod gets a reprieve.

The Michigan AD is just posturing until after bowl season to attract a Harbaugh or Miles type. The writing is on the wall. Don't be surpirsed to see Richrod bolting for Miami before he gets fired! They are perfect for each other.

Harbaugh will be coming to a more competitive conference. But I think he's one of the elite coaches in college football, and will make Michigan into a power again and soon. In fact, I predict Ohio State will lose to Michigan in Ann Arbor next season. And after that happens, Tressell will begin to feel the heat because Harbaugh won't let up, just like he didn't with Target #1 Pete Carroll.

Please, please, please keep RichRod for another year....or five. With Mich in disarray OSU can focus on Nebraska, Wiconsin, Mich St, etc.

Oh, and to make The Game more exciting between OSU and Mich, let them play it at night in Ohio Stadium under the lights on primetime TV.

Despite the fact that I "LOVE" beating the school up north every chance possible. I am ready for the rivalry to be restored. It is time to bring Harbaugh back to Michigan. Not that I think that he is the savior of the program, but he understands what "The Game" is all about and what it means to college football. And I am sure that if he were to take the job, the wolverines would prepare for the Buckeyes, a little everyday throughout the season. Harbaugh understands that the OSU vs. U of M football game isn't just another game on the schedule, it is the most important game on the schedule. As an athlete at these two schools your entire college career is defined by your record in "The Game". That is not something to take lightly nor is it something that Harbaugh would ever forget. Rich Rod, just like John Cooper never understood what this rivalry is all about and that is why the Buckeyes have won SEVEN pairs of golden pants in a row. When the Buckeyes take on the Wolverines, the world should STOP, but recently it have just kept spinning year after year, win after win. I want the excitement of not knowing who will win, the feeling of butterflies at kick-off, the intensity that only The Game can bring, and I think bring Harbaugh back to his alma mater will do that.

So, may this serve as my endorsement, reference, approval, and support letter to Dave Brandon, University of Michigan AD. Bring back Jim Harbaugh and the greatest rivalry in all sports. Really what could you possibility evaluation? In the three years that Rich Rod has been at the helm the wolverines have been outscored by the Buckeyes 100 to 24, and gone 0-3, with two lop-sided losses in 2008 and 2010. By contrast Tressel went 2-1 in his first three years. There is simply NO progress in getting beat by 30 points in your third year of the greatest rivalry in sports, especially when the athletes that you recruited are also in the third year. It is time for Rich Rod to go and that doesn't require much of an evaluation or review.

Just don't bring in Les Miles to Michigan. The reason Michigan is terrible is because they have a slime ball coach. Either keep that one and don't bring another one in so we can get our guaranteed win every year or bring in Harbaugh so the Big Ten gets some class back in AA.

I agree with almost everything that you said, but the wolverines will not beat the Buckeyes next year even with Harbaugh. Yes, the game will be more competitive, but it won't be Bo vs. Woody circa 1969. But, with Harbaugh the rivalry will be more intense and definitely a closer game, but the Buckeyes will prevail.

As a SEC person we know Les Miles is a buffoon, bottom line this poor coach beat your team on the biggest stage.......... in a blowout. No way Les Miles goes to Michigan, as for Harbaugh the Big Ten could use a coach with a in your face, tell it like it is mentality remember his guarantee Buckeye fans, however he has several fences to mend in Michigan for his academic comments a couple of years ago plus his sights are on the NFL if RROD goes and Harbaugh goes to the 49ers it will probably be Brady Hokes job no way Michigan goes outside the family again.

The decision has probably already been made to fire this oozing, cheating, lying scumbag but he has to wait until the time is right and that is after Jan. 1 (saves 1.5 million in buy cash) and allow all of the teams to finish their bowl games so they can go after their targets without violating any more NCAA rules.

the difference with Tress is that he never takes the bate. he just uses it as motivation for the troops, but harbaugh is the right guy and everyone here in A2 knows it.the thing is tress also knows Jim's moves , because his plays come from, the woody /bo play book. good luck beating tress at that.

The Florida loss stings, but this was a home game for LSU in a year when we stumbled into the national championship game by default. Doesn't count.

Have some faith in your team.......... Texas went into the Rose Bowl in 2006 and beat USC for the national championship does that not count?

We didn't deserve to be there that year. We only stumbled into the game because everybody else kept losing. Deserving or not, when you get the chance to play for the NC, you take it. That's why I don't feel so bad about the loss to LSU.

Harbaugh will end up in the NFL. There are going to be too many jobs available in the NFL for him to turn it down. He will also have the chance to take his college quarterback with him. Even if he went to UM, his offense and defenses center around much bigger players than what is currently on the Michigan rooster. It will take at least two or three years for the next coach to be competitive. Funny, Richrod complained about the cupboard being bare.

That is a funny touch putting the photo of Harbaugh there when the article is about Rodriguez. Got a laugh out of that.

Harbaugh is NOT going to coach at Michigan. Not only does he not respect UM as an educational institution, but after being in Palo Alto and succeeding for several years, nobody would want to return to that slum in A.A.

Gotta disagree with you, "Big" Bob. Having lost the NC game with Florida and been so embarrassed on the national stage, the Buckeyes could not have possibly been more motivated or prepared for another try, and still couldn't get it done against even the buffoon, Miles. Stop making excuses. Home field, backing into the game, it doesn't matter. Les Miles' team handily beat the Buckeyes and it stung all the worse for being the 2nd time in a row.

Harbaugh would definitely be a good fit at UM but the real question is whether or not he wants a shot in the NFL bc I think that door is open for him if he wants it. Right now I won't be surprised if RichRod stays and a new guru comes in to build the Defense. The offense is already there for Michigan. If UM had Tressel's Defense it would have competed for a Big 10 title this year.

How can you guys say the offense is there when they only scored 7 points?
