Nebraska beats Clemson 26-21 in Gator Bowl

There are 3 comments on the The Associated Press story from Jan 2, 2009, titled Nebraska beats Clemson 26-21 in Gator Bowl . In it, The Associated Press reports that:

Bo Pelini's first season as Nebraska coach ended with a victory and optimism about the future, two things the Cornhuskers have lacked in recent years.

Joe Ganz threw for two touchdowns, Alex Henery kicked four field goals and Nebraska beat Clemson 26-21 in the Gator Bowl on Thursday.

Nebraska (9-4) ended the season with a four-game winning streak, including a victory against rival Colorado, won six of its final seven games and had success in a January bowl game for the first time in nine years.

I attended the recent Gator Bowl and here are some thoughts....
Most Clemson fans were great. We shared hotel space, we partied and tailgated along side many of them and again most were friendly and nice however... Some live in a dream world.

Hey guys the ACC is not the best or toughest league....
Yes, Clemson you travel well to support your team but a 2.5 hour drive to the bowl game is not in the same class as a Nebraskan traveling up to 30 hours by bus to support the Huskers...
And, no you did not kick our ass as some obnoxious
Clemson fans tried to tell me after the game...

If you take away OUR mistakes, Clemson would have participated in a slaughter

Amazing, building up to this game alot of Clemson fans did nothing but talk trash, and even after losing, yes, losing! the trash continues. It takes away from the fun of the sport... But the reality? Go Huskers, you can't deny a W vs a loss! I'm proud to be a Husker, no need for smack talk, just play hard and true!

Just one comment - I think you need a map - Uh - 2.5 hours from Clemson to Jax - I don't think so!
So did it really take 30 hours by bus or are you exaggerating that too.
