It will be interesting to see what Dobbs can do from the start. The other big question is how to get Navy to play with real fire for more than the last few minutes of a game (when they're behind). Why do they seem to need to come from way behind to get motivated?

The only reason Dobbs did well at the end of the Notre Dame game was he was against the SECOND team defense!! Jarod is a much better QB and if he doesn't start it is Navy's loss!

Ricky Dobbs is one of Navy's best atheletes. He hits the line of schrimage with authority putting his head down to gain extra yardage. He can throw the ball down the field with accuracy. While he may not have the triple option down line Jarod Bryant, he is a play maker. Dobbs should have started the Notre Dame game. The opportunity to win that game was in the first half not the 4th quarter.

The momentum changed when Notre Dame took the blocked punt for a TD. Until then the Navy D was taking away their opportunities, but the Navy O was going 3 and out. The D played a terrific game overall -- but they got worn out in the 2nd half when the O couldn't stay on the field.

Maybe starting Dobbs will light a spark, but the O line needs to open some holes, and special teams have to do their jobs, too.

Dobbs is one on Navy's best athletes. He did well during the fourth quarter of the Notre Dame game admittedly against the their second team. He caused Coach Weiss to insert his starters.

He was brought into the Temple game when Byrant was hurt and Navy was losing by 20 points. He was instrumental in their winning the game against their first team defense that shutdown Bryant!
