Illiana, love the topic. While most UCf fans are clamoring to get into a BCS conference, teams like Boise St and Utah have proven that you do not need to be in a BCS conference to play with the "big boys". Your comment regarding a top notch QB is right on. We proved that when we had Culpepper and were playing top tier schools tight, even when we were still transitioning from I-AA to I-A and still had a majority I-AA schedule and were playing road games for cash. BSU and Utah seemed to have mastered the ability to be consistent BCS crashers, I think their ability to recruit good atheltes and develop them year in and year out, without jeopardizing academic integrity is commendable. Schools like USF, who is in a uh-um, BCS conference, seem to have the win at all cost mentality, which I believe will haunt them in the future. As far as UCF is concerned, they need to go after a quality QB year in and year out to maintain consistency at that position. I am very eager to see the recruiting class from last year play an integral role in 2009 as it was the best class yet. Quality athletes, quality students, and proven winners at the HS level. 2009 will be the year GOL should have incredible depth, quality athletes (speed) and smart players (academics continue to shine at UCF). I think the ingredients are in place for UCF to finally to be considered a BCS buster. Now, all we have to do is find an offense.

While the "BCS buster" is, of course, possible, it is nothing more than bread crumbs being thrown at the non-BCS schools. Its 100% pure CRAP to have to go undefeated while a BCS can lose 4 or 5 games and still make a BCS bowl. It also leads to crappy scheduling like what Hawaii did last year. As long as this stupid BCS system is in place, the simple solution would be to have six BCS games, take the top 12 from the BCS standings, and match them up with each other, no matter who they are or what conference they come from (with #1 and #2 obviously playing for the title). That way EVERYONE has a legitimate chance of cashing in on the BCS payday. Its BS that Boise St. and TCU, being ranked as high as they are, got stuck playing in a minor bowl like that, for MILLIONS of less dollars. Meanwhile, Cincinnati...who is ranked BELOW both Boise St. and TCU, gets to rake in $15 million simply by winning a weak Big East. Totally assinine.

Well well, I googled BCS and a couple other words and up pops a UCF article and sure enough, there he is still bitter and angry. "uh-mm" never ever beat a ranked team, never been ranked, never back to back bowls, no bowl, in 08, etc. etc. etc. Pathetic little man, you provide entertainment for me today as I read articles. So glad you are history as the USF exit requirement to play a CUSA team is now done. Keep talking you pathetic little man. Happy 34th year of Football UCF! |

Successful mid-major programs like Boise State and Utah don't have many or any blue-chip players and stellar facilities. Successful mid-major programs have great STRENGTH & CONDITIONING programs to develop average players into great players. Successful mid-major programs can COACH a group of average players and field a great TEAM.
UCF may have nice and new facilities, but lacks quality coaching. Recent events pretty much sum up the state of UCF's STRENGTH & CONDITIONING program. Congrats to Utah for their 2nd BCS bowl victory and undefeated season. |

What's the matter Laqueefa, having one of those not soo fresh days. Really, you "Googled BCS and couple of other words. You actually have to google that stuff. I would figure with you being such an "expert", you would alredy have listed the appropiate sites in your favorites. Oh well, I guess you have too many "kiddie p o r n" sites listed in your favorites. Bye Bye little girl |

Oh, so glad i minimized this window. Yup another proud UCF Alum post and yet another representation of why the matchup is history. I am leaving now, and yes I usually google BCS in many of search windows and no I do not have favorites. I am sure I will see you agian in months still bitter and angry. A suggetion, focus your anger on FAU and FIU. Oh and Congrat's to FAU on a second consecutive bowl appearance and a Bowl win! A program built on the USF model established over the past decade. Great job FAU. Bye bitter little man I am closing this window now. Stay in the bubble and jump jump! |

FAU has built their program based on the USF model. Last I looked FAU has a great coach who is not only concerned with athletic prowess, but academic prowess. FAU has built an on-campus stadium, and other athletic facilities to lure future recruits. FAU does not tolerate off the field problems, like, rape, cheating and arrests, sounds more like the UCF model to me....nice try though, keep playing, we need a good laugh.

I do remember a very large article in the Sun Sentinel last year that talked about how honored FAU was to be playing USF and how they (FAU) have used USF as a model for how to build a program. These words were from the coach. It also said that he and his staff also visit with the USF program on a regular basis. Not a USF Alum here just a fan of football with much respect for both the USF and FAU programs. USF has gone down in history for what they have been able to accomplish in such a very short time. None of this has anything to do with an on campus sa On another note, I find that your postings are a perfect represention of the UCF fan base and program. Shallow and pathetic. You are making a fool of yourself on this site. |

Nice try Laqueefa |
