Good luck to Kenmore and Kent grad Gary Pinkel. My Dad was a Kenmore grad many years ago and we'd go see those Turkey day championships at the Rubber Bowl.

The Buckeyes need national respect and it won't come from beating W. Virginia in the Champ. game. Georgia yes, W. Va. no. Sorry Mountaineers.

The Buckeyes need to go out and whip some USC ass!

Go Tigers and go Buckeyes!

I hope that Oklahoma wins, but you know what... if they don't I will be rooting for Missouri in the Championship game. It's nice to see a nice guy win. Would love to see those Buckeyes win the Championship though. Go Bucks!!!

if they did beat WVU it would kill the talk about defening the spread. you're right though we need to knock off an sec team but this year we will either play WVU in the bcs or USC in the rose. we are playing USC next year in the regular season so that ought to shut people up we dont play anybody next year. bring on WVU so we can prove that OSU is the real deal.

Why? Because you like Mizzou? You link Pinkel? Or you just can't stand the thought of OSU in the championship?

I am inclined to agree with you. However, The Buckeyes do play USC for the next 2 seasons. It would really piss off the west coast wussies if we win the national championship game and whoop their asses for the next 2 years. GOO BUCKEYES!

I grew up in the same neighborhood as Gary Pinkel and was two years behind him at Kenmore. I want to see Ohio State play so I want Missouri to win tomorrow. The National Championship game is scheduled too late at night. People have to go to work the next day. If Missouri wins tomorrow I get to watch Ohio State at 4:45 PM on New Year's Day. That's a more reasonable start time for a game.

Because OSU played noone! Not a single top 20 ranked team!

Congrats to Gary Pinkel for his fine job of coaching Mizzu. he's come a long way from his days here in the Akron area.

I line in state of Ohio, so I hope Mizzu or WVa loses tomorrow and the Buckeyes make it to the BCS Championship game again. Had their Illinois loss been early in the season, they would be rated #1 right now. Unfortunately, timing is everything in the BCS poll.

compairing OSU vs WVU

loss
WVU - lost to UCF 9-3
OSU - lost to ILLinois 9-3
push

best win
WVU - maryland, uconn, lville, cinci
OSU - michigan, penn state, wisc
ADV - osu

strength of confrence
WVU - big east
OSU - big ten
adv OSU...big ten is down but still a better confrence then the big east.

style of play
WVU - fast spread offense with no defense.
OSU - solid offense with a power runner and a strong defense that needs to prove it can cover the spread.

adv osu for being a well rounded team. defense win championships and osu has a long time to try to defend the spread.

coaching
WVU - Rodriguez
OSU - tressel
adv - osu - rodriguez is a good coach but tressel is one of the best in the country.

osu deserves a title shot as much as West virginia does. dont take in what happened last year because that doesnt matter this year. georgia, usc, lsu, oklahoma, oregon may be a better team but they all lost twice or three times and blew their chance to go to the title game.

No, you check again, IDIOT. OSU never played a team that was ranked in the top 20. Purdue was 23, Penn State was 24, and Michigan was 23 when they played those teams.

WVU's only loss came to a ranked opponent. Illinois wasn't ranked when they beat OSU.
