Thank goodness. Remember Anthony Gonzalez? Another polished receiver who had little talent. For reference sake, he went in the first round. Robiskie will play in the NFL but would not be the guy the Bears need. Thankfully also the Bears missed out on MM from Georgia. He is not that good. The receiver rankings are so backward it is not even funny. How about a guy like Marco from Nevada or Greg Carr from florida State. These guys are 6' 5" and were productive in college. Cutler can get the ball to these guys a lot easier than some little flea who gets pushed off his route. Don't even start on Louis Murphy. The guy couldn't play college ball and you want to say he is a second rounder? Time to outlaw the combine.

I just read an AP article where Jerry said they tried to get Boldin, but couldn't get it done. So, while I was a little surprised that Jerry (seemed) to give away a second round pick, it looks obvious that all options were gone by that time. And after all, this draft makes no sense what so ever. Maualuge falls to the second round, and the Raiders pick Bey with the 7th pick? I'm starting to think 'ol Jerry might be the only sane GM left.....

The mention that Maclin went one pick after the pick the Bears traded to Denver seems pointless, since the whole "The Bears need a wideout!" thing only became relevant when they traded for Cutler. If they hadn't gotten Cutler but still had Orton, Maclin wouldn't have been any use anyway. So why mention it?

Angelo, you brain dead buzzard, Hester is NOT a receiver. He has ZERO productivity as a receiver. Move him back to kick-off/punt-returner where he was the terror of the league. You should have drafted Mohammed Masaosquoi or Ramses Braden, both big, fast, tought wide receivers at your first pick. Now, your screwed up, and Cutler has no one to throw to. You are an EMBICILE.
FYI, GM Rod Graves, filled all his holes at the Arizona Cardinals with his first two picks. 1. Beanie Wells, running back. 2. Cory Brown, outside pass rusher. 3. Keeping Anquan Boldin and sticking it to Boldin's agent, the Price of Darkness, Drew Rosenhaus.
Something you could never do. Oh yeah, Rod Graves was fired from the Bears a few years ago.
Ha Ha Ha Ha .... HOTDOG !!! Look out Super Bowl, The Chicago Cardinals a.k.a. Arizona Cardinals are coming back with a very bad attitude.

Orton + 1st round pick + 2nd round pick = 3 good starters. Add to that the 2010 1st round pick and you end up with 4 starters. Cutler = 1 good starter. Net for the Bears a minus three starters. Yes fellow Bears fans we're are headed in the same direction of the Bengals/Raiders. Don't worry Jerry, after you're fired the next GJM will have plenty of great draft picks in 2011 and beyond.

I believe J.A. made the right call in trading the 49th pick. Barden or Iglesias or Murphy in that order. Safety, DE, another WR (Ogletree) and then best players available with the rest. GO BEARS!!!

Was wondering before the draft how Angelo was going to pay the salaries of Pace and Cutler and now I know how.......are Da Bears that good that one of the top 50 players in the draft wouldn't make the team better THIS YEAR! Angelo continues to amaze me in running this team into the ground with poor decisions on who he keeps, drafts and lets go! Berrian, Columbo, Jones, Benson are the throw aways that aren't doing too bad at Dallas, Cin, NY and the Vikings....and this guy keeps his job!

Does anyone find it ironic that this imbecile cannot spell 'imbecile'? To make things worse he puts the word in all caps and calls the Bears GM who pulled off the most daring trade in history an 'embecile'. BTW Ramses Barden is still not drafted... so get your panties unbunched already. Rico Youngblood wrote: Angelo, you brain dead buzzard, Hester is NOT a receiver. As one of Angelos harshest critics he has earned a repreave from me for pulling off the biggest trade in franchise history and at the same time putting to end almost a full century of ineptitude at the QB position. He has equity with me now. As for the players you listed. The mistake Angelo made with Columbo and Benson was not cutting them, it was drafting them in the first place. Berrian was not worth the money Minnesota gave him then or now. Trading Jones to keep Benson however was a huge mistake which is ironic because he was a great signing by Angelo to begin with.

The Bears suck at the first round. Do we need another Benson, McNown or Terrell? Yep, all illustrious first rounders. So two first rounders plus Orton plus a second rounder does not equal 4 starters, or even 4 good players. NE trades away their top picks and stockpiles late round picks every year. Yeah, there's a franchise I don't want to emulate. Less money to pay more players to pick from. Let's face it, how mant first rounders turn into super stars, second round? A team can find a great player in any round. Late round picks take the pressure off of a team from taking a name(let's say Peter Warrick) instead of a productive player(Laverneanus Coles, just as an example). I give Jerry credit for making a big deal and bringing in a big arm. Unfortunately, I think we just got Jeff George. Big arm, can make all the throws, head case, int's at crunch time. I really hope I'm wrong. Go Bears!

The day Bears are run by fans like Browns it will be the day I stop rooting for them. Angelo didn't see it in Massaquai and he pulled a trade. And just the fact that Browns picked him up together with Robiskie means he will be a bust.

First of all trying to portray one teams draft as superior to anothers on paper is pointless. We will not know how these players pan out for three years. That is when you ultimately judge a draft. Historically a team is lucky if 30-40% of the draft picks pan out. I will admit that Bears selections over the past four years have been below the curve (abysmal actually). The fact is Jerry Angelo put an organization in place that got to the Super Bowl and is $20 million under the cap with some good young players on the roster.

HELLO SPORTS FAN. Cutler is one starter. It just so happens he is the most important position, a franshise qb, and a proven pro bowler. Ill take one pro bowler over three sub par starters and a horrible qb. This was the greatest trade in chicago history. The bears dont do well drafting in the first round and it is to expensive to draft players that you hope arent busts. TommyC wrote: Orton + 1st round pick + 2nd round pick = 3 good starters. To the guy who said Gonzo is a bust. Give a WR his 3rd year first, that is the telling year for a WR.
