Good luck to Valdosta High School with their new principal. Did anyone at the Board of Education in Lowndes Co bother to really check him out? The faculty that he left behind (that he did not force out or fire) were very unhappy. He was totally inept in budgeting, intimidating as a leader, and managed to leave a very unhappy community behind. By the way, the magnet program begin under the leadership of Mrs. Martin, not Gary Boling.

I had two children graduate North Cobb while Boling was there. This man is inept at best. In 2006 he allowed a teacher/coach to quietly resign after discovering that he had a sexual relationship with a female student. Parents should expect more from their administrator. I do not know of even one thecher who could get along with him. He was so despised by the class of 2006, that he didn't allow himself to be introduced at graduation for fear of being booed. I hope Valdosta keeps a close eye on this man. Parents, please protect your daughters!

Hi, I live in Valdosta and really need more information on our new principle. A number of us are really concerned about he's ability. Could you tell me more or provide me with some other way to contact you? Thanks.

being that i now go to the school that Mr. Boling has come into i believe that i could comment a little more accurately. Besides the out -right awkwardness i believe that he has stepped into a position that he is not fully ready to handle. reasoning behind my opinion is because he believes that he must force his concepts on others because he knows that if a choice were present his suggestions would not be taken. As an attempt to "better" our school he has only really made my high school experiance more tainted. many people around the world love their high school and come to cherish it but i just wanna hurry and finish to move on. i know that school is above all about education and getting us ready for the real world but when more focus is on dress than student curriculums then i have an issue. I would love to be proud of my school and not be faced with the restrictions that are very present to this day. but to sum up my thoughts i must say that i solely have produced these thoughts via freedom of speech and my opinions are not reflexed by staff nor personnel of the valdosta city school system.

Mr. Boling was a HORRIBLE principal. He had no idea what he was doing, created outrageous rules that made no sense, and completely tried to take away every right and privilege a student had. Please watch out for him. He needs to pick a different profession. One where he has no contact with children and teenagers. All I can say is I feel extremely sorry for Valdosta High School.

I`m a student at VHS and I can honestly say that this guy is horrible! Not only is he putting more stress and demand on the students academically, he is limiting the teaching styles of our teachers and making them do things that even they think is unnecassary and random. Plus has anybody seen the 'improvements' to our rules?
