I've noticed the IU fans' comments are not quite as cocky as they were prior to the Purdue game. Come on boys! Sing me a good ole' cocky Hoosier work song!

I would certainly hate to have some of these Jr. High mentalities above working for me. Do they really call themselves fans by expressing these
pathetic comments?(A worse thought is that
they are probably the people that get some of our most inept politicians elected!)

Yes, it was a ragged game for the Hoosiers but, all excuses aside, one might remember the rather criticial injuries, the thin bench and a previous comment about one day of practice to prepare??

I dislike the idea of getting some of the "experts" above foaming at the mouth but I would like to state that IU will win out the regular season.!!!

Well rather than whine about losing to purdue or Iowa or whoever, I think the hoosiers need to worry about themselves more than anyone else. If we do what we need to, the tournament will take care of itself. Like I said before, the NIT is the only sure thing now.

Is that a tear in your beer? Oh wait, it looks like IU still has a hangover from the party in Mackey. I hate rooting for Michigan, but you IU fans make it so easy.

it sure is pathetic how all the so-called fans of iu that post here are so quick to blame the coach for the mess he inherited. when the season started, any fool could see that this team lacked size and talent in the front court. despite that, this squad will win 20 plus games this year and will finish third in the conference. not bad for a team that starts a forward and four guards! i congratulate them for the solid, if at times frustrating, effort they put out every night. when all is said and done, i am convinced that sampson will have iu challenging for the big ten championship nearly every year. finally, for the purdue trolls, your senior-laden squad isn't going anywhere. how many straight big ten road games did pu lose before beating mighty penn state??

Hey,
IU is in trouble, and Purdue could make the dance and IU wont. How funny would that be. IU fans would kill themselves if that happens.
What are you talking about.....IU has quality wins over Southern Illinois, at Connecticut, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. Who does PU have.....IU and Virginia. PU's weak schedule will keep them out of the dance and into the NIT.

Man, I love to whine. It makes me feel like a kid again. Thanks Bruce and Gene for teaching me how to act like I did when I was a kid. And Gene, thanks for the comb and tissues, they come in handy on the sideline.

So that's what...one fun week out of the last 4 years. LOL. So IU has gotten into a little rut and lost a few consecutive road games. Guess what?!?! Your boiler lost almost every road game for THREE STRAIGHT YEARS. Enjoy your 5 minutes in the sun boiler fans.
Speaking of years, its been how long for your guys in football? Another reason I left IU football team sucks as well

I hate to break this to you, but Purdue has a higher RPI strength of schedule than us. Go check.

And I certainly wouldn't brag about beating Michigan State or UConn. Neither is any good, UConn is 64th in the computer rankings, but you want to brag about it? You make yourself (and other IU fans) look stupid, so quit.

We've won one more raod game then Purdue, and have equal "quality" wins. Saying otherwise makes you look stupid.

IU would have beat Duke if Stemler played. IU would have beat Purdue if Stemler played. IU would have beat Duke and Michigan if Sampson had one more timeout left. IU would beat everyone if Gordon played this year. IU would beat everyone if they had the roster of the Dallas Mavericks, Kathy Skidmore was a cheerleader for IU, and Eric Gordon AAU coach coached the team. Where are the apologists today? By the way...for your info...I am not from Indiana. I just get amused by the blind sheep.

Finally a well thought out and accurate post! Thank you!

Looking at the "resume" of PU and IU, they're strikingly similar at this point. Each squad should finish out at least at 3-1 and both will make the dance.

I must say, it's disapointing to see how quickly people are to bash their coach after a slump. They seemed to like the guy a whole lot a few weeks ago.
