Minnesota and Illinois are hot? Who have they played exactly? How many road games have they played? They have played 3 combined road games and 14 home games. Their marquee wins are against an average to poor Virginia team and a 3 loss Georgia team.
Purdue and Wisconsin have underwhelmed? Their four losses are to #2 UConn on a neutral floor,#5 Oklahoma on a neutral floor,#7 Duke, and at #24 Marquette. Not to mention that 3 of those 4 losses were in doubt late in the second half.

I'm not sure I'd call Iowa a "cold" team by any measure. While they're certainly not among the best teams in the Big Ten, their young team has had a much better season thus far than pundits were predicting, and their RPI ranks #51 nationally, well above Purdue, Indiana, and Penn State, and just one slot behind Michigan State.
