Lesson learned, that is, I hope. Mental toughness is not only about what you have on Saturday or game day. It is about what you have on Tuesday and Wednesday. Take no one lightly or you will self-destruct. You got 'er done, this time. Everything is within your reach; believe that or go home.

The offense was horrendous and they still managed to win. Memphis must have really sucked. The receivers couldn't catch a cold tonite.

Wow, such disrespect from a team that came to El Paso and beat you guys like step children. Yes, UTEP won. Without some crazy kicker, you guys would be toast!

UTEP seems to have a good team, although does need
a dual-threat qb. I really like their backs which
are quick & strong and a young & good line upfront.

Will get better game by game.

Bill Knight is not a friend of UTEP Football. Why write this article, if all he can do is criticize and spew negativity?

A win, is a WIN. Celebrate it.

Was it a horrendous Miner offense, or could we call it a tough Memphis defense?

Was it a "lucky" kick, or a Clutch Kick that won the game?
Alabama had a tough time with Arkansas, too.
Bet Tuscaloosa Sports Writers "Talked the Team Up".. and didn't criticize THEIR Team !
Bill Knight would get a beat-down for his style in Alabama. Coach Saban wouldn't stand for Bill's style and he'd have his job!

Granted, UTEP is not Alabama, but this is OUR TEAM. Cheer for the Winners! Maybe we should ask the Longhorns if they were stomped at home, or did UCLA "play well above their norm"?

Outside of El Paso, nobody cares about UTEP. Google Conference USA results right now, and try to find an article on this game. All the articles are about a quarterback that DIDN'T EVEN PLAY TODAY ! When your own conference is indifferent about UTEP, we surely don't need a "Home Slice" chopping and dicing up our team -

I think what sucked about this game is the lack of fan support, the team didn't play that well but still mange to hang in there and find a way to win.
Theres twenty nine thousand good UTEP fans in El Paso and the rest of the fans are not fans.
Or are they the ones that go to games to get drunk and cause trouble then boycott the games when the tailgate rules change, they must be Oakland Raider fans as well just plain losers.

It's funny how some people complain. I guess if you walked up to them and offered them 100 bucks, they would say 'is that all'.

4 games into the season and UTEP has a 3-1 record. It only takes 6 wins to be bowl eligible.

The people that complain the most aren't fans anyway so why they even post negative comments shows us all their mentality.

I wonder if 'Mommy Dearest' is still changing their diapers.

When UTEP starts drawing 50,000 fans....make sure you ask those 20,000+ that didn't support the team in the beginning where the h ell they have been.

That's an embarassment.

I said last week, lets see what happens when the play a team with a pulse. Memphis doesn't qualify, nor does UNM next week (which I anticipate they will lose). This is a bad team, with a bad coach and obviously no one with a clue how to recruit. FIRE PRICE NOW!

You're the type of person that thinks you know a little about everything. When in reality you dont know a damn thing about anything and you sure as heck dont know football. I dont give a flyin' flip what coach you bring in here, you aint never gonna recruit top talent to El Paso, period! If you would pull your head out for a second you would understand that. Price has done as good a job as anyone could. The Miners are 3-1 and if you had one drop of common sense you would appreciate that. Try sticking to a subject you know something about, like being a sorry sack of dung, good for nada loser.

Bill Knight is not on UTEP's payroll like Jon Teicher is. He tells it like it is, good or bad. Unlike Teicher, its not his job to make the Miners look better than they are. Most of those so-called sportswriters who cover BCS football teams are homers. The El Paso Times used to have one of those "sportswriters" named darren hunt. He used to have the miner fight song as a ring tone and would decorate his work space with organge and blue pom-poms!! Knight is a true professional who reports what he sees, not what the university wants him to see!!
