You are completely lost. UCF pushed for this for years...for one reason. Everyone knew that this game/series would be well attended. Money builds programs and rivalries are good for all involved. USF ONLY stepped up when UCF went through tough times. Any other version of these facts is in your head.
Bro, hate to burst your bubble, but UCF have always had "tough times". The program has always been inconsistent in winning though different season. One year, they could have a good season, the next year, they're bottom feeders. I believe that Coach O'Leary needs to establish back to back winning seasons and become a legitimate top 25 program. It won't happen this year, unless some of the juniors and seniors step up and become playmakers. Look for a good 8-4 season UCF fans, the building project is continuing. Oh yea, you can count on the Miami game as a definite loss! GO CANES!

as a gator fan,

let me remind u USF fans that not that long ago u were in "CDOA" and couldnt even beat the likes of some of the teams that UCF handily dominates now.

5-3 one year and 3-5 the next right before ur jump to the BE.

you make fun of CUSA like u were never a part of that conference. Like you have been "better" than them for sooooo long when teams that you couldnt touch just three years ago UCF is crushing.

I hope for ur sake u win this game becuase if UCF wins they have braggin rights for alot longer than u have.... and thats forever.

GO GATORS!

Disagree. UCF had a string of good years and winning seasons after jumping to D1-A, and UCF wanted this series since 1999-2000. It was the 2002-2003 season that UCF crashed and burned, and it was just at that time that USF agreed to a 4 games series with UCF. Now that UCF is picking itself back up and winning games, what does USF do? It bolts from the series, and signs up for a series with BALL STATE.

USF fans can boast all they want, but what they're doing shows what chumps they are. UCF deserves to win the final game of the series with a shutout.

You need to check your info, like I said before, UCF has to string good back to back seasons. The only period of time UCF has had good back to back seasons, were 1998,1999,&2000, with 1998 being the best season. As I stated before, they will have a good season, then stink it up the next season, all since coming over to DIV-I. Like I also stated, I believe Coach O'Leary needs to maintain consistency with winning seasons. Next season isn't going to be any better, with an inexperienced quaterback, inexperience running back, and I don't know too much about thier lines. Just face the facts, USF is a better football program right now. UCF has been on the football trail much longer than USF, but it seems that USF has achieved more than UCF. Well, I don't think UCF has been ranked #2 in the country before?(Although USF quickly relinquished that #2 ranking the next week). Keep hope alive UCF fans, it's a tough pill to swallow that USF looks down on your football program. Only way to combat that is to build a winning tradition. Then maybe USF will come knocking on UCF's door to relive the rivally, and UCF will have the option of playing USF. Oh yeah, continue to count that loss to Miami!!

Alright well i think everyone needs to chill out... fist off I'd like to say I attend UCF and i love our knights and we had an awesome season last year but yes USF has a better program then us right now(face it)... though I hope we kick there ass come September 5th, if we don't it wont be the end of my world and I'll still have a blast at our stadium and if we win maybe we'll play them again in the future and continue the 'rivalry'... USF just thinks that they are the best team in Florida though(I think)if they ever played UF they would get tore up hands down... but I gotta give it to them they did damn good last year and I think why we are so bitter to the them is because we want to be a ranking football program in our state and hopefully one day we will....
repeat CUSA champs 2008? Go knights!

Great post from a realistic UCF fan. All I have to say to you is that hopefully Coach O'Leary can improve things with the football program to be a better contender, not only in the state, but around the country. The facilities are there, the campus looks to be great and expanding. I think UCF needs a couple of good breakout seasons to get the same high level of players that are going to the GATURDS, Fla State, and Miami. Is that possible for UCF, yes it is. You already have an on campus stadium, something that USF don't have, and it possible that it can be expanded in the next couple of years. Seems like a 40 thousand seat venue is to little, especially with the energy the students bring to that staduim. To you, I wish good luck to UCF and thier true knowledgable fans, but count that loss to Miami!!
