FAU is truly becoming a first-choice institution for students around the South Florida area and around the country. I am proud to call myself an alum.

I just finish my first semester at FAU after transfering from Broward Community College. FAU is a popular for community college students because the only other state university in the south Florida area is Florida International University. FAU also works with the BCC and PBCC by sharing campuses.

If "FAWho" is eliminated maybe our degrees will be worth something someday.

If your degree from FIU isn't worth something now, it never will be.

What is the cost of these events? Sure seems to me to be more of a boost to Brogan's bragging rights than a boost to the university. FAU does not have problems getting students because of the location. Reputation, based on greed of administrators, is another matter.

Sit down FIU. All you do is talk. Your school is garbage.

Cost of events? The bowl payout is $350,000. Ticket sales could bring in another $200,000. Thats what is paying for the bowl game.

I don't know what kind of revenue or costs are involved with the presidential debates but the university will be on national television in a very serious climate. Great publicity!!!!

Go Owls, beat Memphis!!!

It's cool to see FAU developing in football. Whooo knows - we may have another Florida powerhouse in 5 to 10 years. The seeds have been planted and now this program is springing up fast under a wonderful coach's supervision. It's GREAT to be a FLORIDA football fan! Best of luck on your bowl, Owls!

Get over your hate. FAU is hosting the debates over your school and all the other Florida Schools. So I guess based on your premise that all the schools in Florida are have greedy administrators because they all wanted to host the event. Go Owls. Congrats on being the fastest football program in History to go to a D1 bowl game. Proud Alum 1996

FAU had 6 players make the Sun Belt Conference first team list and the coach of the year in the Sun Belt. I was at the FAU-USF game and FAU almost won. FAU should be called Schnellenberger U. FIU only win came against lonely North Texas. The only thing heard at FIU is "Me Speak NO ENGLISH", from the Cubans. I live in Hollywood,FL not Miami like its list previous.

Getting a better reputation does not sound like it is a bad thing.

FIU is a terrible, impersonal school. I went there for a year and hated it. I transferred to FAU and I'm waaaay happier here. Plus I don't have to deal with getting shot in Miami!
