I hope they can arrange to keep the USF-UCF Game going! It seems like a natural rivalry to me.

Very fun to be reading this type of press now. I wonder who is going to play more this weekend? I am sure Kyle will start, but it seems the Greco has to get a lot of playing time again, considering the game he had last week. I also hope Smith gets a chance to keep piling up the yards the whole game. I don't want to see him hurt, but he sat out the 2nd half last week and dropped to 3rd iin the country in rushing. If he has any shot at all for Heisman run, he needs to be on top. That's my $0.02 for the day. Go Knights

funny how this article sort of contradicts bianchi's "where are all the thirsty fans" column from a few days ago. bianchi's article said that the bh stadium should be selling out no matter what. this one seems to say its ok if it doesnt sell out because attendance is better than the rest of the conference. i guess its always better to dumb yourself down than pull yourself up...

Everyone has their own agenda. I guess the Sentinel still can't figure out which one it is yet.

So....they have had two games at this new stadium, one of which the ticket sales were highly skewed as it was against a nationally ranked Texas. That means the REAL average can't be accurately determined and likely will be far below the reported average in this story of 43,877.

Basically what this story tells me is C-USA is somewhat of a joke. But hey, UCF needs something to cheer about I suppose.

Next year's ucf-usf game will be different now that we have our own place. Good luck to USF fans that want to get tickets! Your huge rental stadium will fit all of us knight fans making the trip :) Might as well be a home game.

45,662 for Texas, and every seat was filled, 42,000 sold for Memphis, and about 2,000-3,000 no shows, primarily becasue Memphis didn't bring any fans, as UCF reserves 5,000 for visiting teams. You may also want to do some research. The majority of college stadiums average around 45,000-50,000 seats, with Florida, Michigan, Tenn, Penn State and Ohio State being the exception, not the norm.

good thing your a good enough football player to be in a better conference...probably not, what's the next step for you? strapping a bomb to yourself and taking out a bunch of c-usa fans? lol enjoy tn buddy, the weather is warmer, and the girls are prettier in florida, and that's not just limited to our sisters and cousins.

the empy seats were all in the memphis section. get your facts straight. the teams the gators face are in the sec, so they usually will bring alot more of their fans to games regardless of how poorly they are doing. Memphis and Louisiana have 3 fans amongst them.

Hard for Texas to "skew" attendance when the place maxes out at 45k.

Take that game out of the picture, and the average will only be 1k lower than it normally would by seasons end.

Some great stuff going on over at UCF. Keep it up, Knights!

Regardless of Bianchi's silly rant, the past two games (and probably this Saturday as well) have been the best attended in UCF's history. The only exceptions were Va Tech when Vick was there and the C-USA Championship game vs Tulsa. In other words, if trend continues, this year will be a record setting year for overall attendance. No way to downplay that at all (unless you are a bald journalist). See you Saturday

I know someone didn't just say that Kevin Smith has a chance at the Heisman, even IF he led the nation in rushing. The Heisman is more of a popularity contest than an award given to the best player in college football. And being that Smith plays @ UCF, he has about a snowball's chance in FL summer heat @ winning the Heisman.

I hope FAU experiences the same type of support once they open their just approved 30,000 seat stadium in a few years. The Owls are sure playing well this season.

I have been keeping taps on the outcome of your new stadium and I am impressed with the hard work people have invested to please all the fans with food and drinks. Keep up the good work Consession Leaders. keep the water coming and continue to make people happy.

Congrats UCF. Conference USA is only a stepping stone for UCF. You don't think the Big East would not love to have a second school in Florida since Miami left. Orlando is a big tv market and Florida has arguably the best high school football talent in the land. It is just a matter of time.

This just says a lot about CDOA. UCF may not want to admit it, but CDOA is a joke.

Why else do UCF fans delude themselves into thinking they will be invited to the ACC, SEC, or Big Ten? You guys want out of CDOA badly, but the Big East just isn't good enough for you.
