Coach may eccentric at this point, but he still knows what he is doing. His old school style still works. Also, thank you 'Canes fans for your typical sour attitude. Maybe you will have a winning season this year, or maybe your coach will even be back next year with your team (if not, Howard will hire him). FAU football may be getting better but the school sucks in part of it. Too many things that other 90% of students (non-athletes)need at the school are lacking because of huge budget and teacher cuts, yet the sports get the #1 priority. Why pour so much money into sports for a communter school? Enrollment is down, there are no frat houses, no one cares whether they win games, people go to FAU because of its location, not the teams.

Yeah, the only problem is those jobs are hard to come by. Kenny Kelly, Frank Costa, Rusty Medeiras, Alonzo Highsmith, the Ericksons, James Stewart, Ryan Collins, Carlos Huerta, Scott Covington, Ryan Clement, Brock Berlin, Eddie Brown, Lamar Thomas already work there. I hear there are openings for people to detail Ray Lewis' car though, maybe that will work out for Kevin Beard and Todd Sievers.

[The Real Reality]

I like Rusty Smith and I think he could be first round talent. As the article stated, playing in that pro-style offense would just better prepare him for the league. Sometimes I think we forget that just because you are a first rounder doesn't mean you instantly dominate the league. I see him as a late first round pick. Personally, I think Tim Tebow and Armanti Edwards(forget about 1-AA, if App Sate had a larger student population they would be 1-A) are the best two qb's in college. But Rusty Smith is a good qb. And I do believe FAU can go to a bcs bowl they have a lot of "hidden gems" on their squad. Especially with Polo leading that secondary.
