Terps hardly had a running game. They missed an easy chip shot FG. They roughed the kicker which led Oregon State to a TD. With the injuries they had during the season, the Terps surprised me by going this far. Hopefully they will be better next season. They have some good players coming back. The kicking game needs a change because Obikeze doesn't show me anything Chris Roberts needs to get his kickoffs much deeper with a lot more touchbacks. THe OL needs a lot more depth.

The loss was a result of two things. First is Coach Friedgen's bad play calling. Blame whom you want but as the head coach and offensice coordinator you need to come up with better plays than what he called late in the second quarter and the second half. It's a good thing he hired an offensive coordinator because running the offense has past Coach Friedgen by. Secondly, dropped passes. They ended several possessions that would have built momemtum and given the defense a much needed breather. Chris Turner played exceptionally well for a sophmore. Things can only turn our much better for next year. Maryland should compete for the ACC division crown.

If the terps would have called for a few more down field passes to Heyward-Bey then maybe the running game could have produced more. Oregon State could not stop the passing game. Dropped passes stopped the running game. The passing game surprised Oregon State in the first quarter and then the Terps could not catch passes. I am glad to see that the Terps hired an offensive coordinator. Hopefully he'll call better plays than Friedgen.
