What is the point of asking that question?

Are you serious? Top flight recruits bring in quality players. I can't believe you're asking that question. Then again, I can believe it coming from a Terps supporter. Do you remember a kid named Steve Slaton who played RB for WVU the last three years? Well, he was a kid that Maryland rescinded his scholarship offer. A quality back. No offense to Lattimore and Ball, but they were not in his class. So you keep supporting renovations to Byrd while Ralph keeps putting second tier athletes to play there. There's a big difference in playing in the Fiesta Bowl vs the Kentucky Dust Bowl. Although I'm sure you'll be there rooting the Terps on at the end of November.

The following recruits will all end up University of Florida

Good Counsel linebacker Jelani Jenkins, Quince Orchard cornerback Travis Hawkins and St. John's (D.C.) offensive lineman Pete White.

Too bad, Terps !

This question was posed to me after my initial post and didn't relate to the points I had made. That's why I asked why it was being brought up.

Of course I understand the importance of recruiting and I back that by giving money to the T-Club every year for the last 15 years to help pay for those scholarships.

I agree in general that there are concerns with Football and Basketball. Neither of them have performed in the last 4 to 5 years as most of us thought they should.

What I oppose is the knee jerk, unreasoned, reactionary comments like saying DY is the worst AD, as the facts simply don't support that.
