"This is definitely better than a 7-5 team," said linebacker Alex Wujciak, who had 11 tackles. "We just didn't show it the past few weeks."

Just as you didn't show it against MTS and Virginia. You are one of the most up and down teams of the country. They were knocking you for it on National TV last Night. Its bad when even those knuclkeheads call you out on it.

Alex...in all due respect...you got smoked by VT, FSU and VA (VA?) and lost to MTS...You are CLEARLY -- exactly -- a 7-5 team. PS You're a solid tackler, but you need to work on your pass coverage. Stop peaking into the backfield when a player comes into your zone.

Friedgen needs to step down!!! Not because his program has completely leveled off the last 4 or five years but because his program no longer responds to him. He doesn't even know what team is going to show up from week-to-week. Against Va Tech he said "we don't play well at night and we don't play well on the road so we'll see what happens tonight." Great coach, you just gave your players a built-in excuse. He has elevated this program to mediocrity which is good considering where it was before he arrived but it has become clear that he is not the man to take the program to the next level (if the next level is even possible).

Hey scott aren't you the same guy that defends gary williams to the death and now i see that you are bashing ralph and the football team.Any way i am sure glad that the season is over and i at least get a 30 day break from hearing ralph say i really don't think i had the pulse of this team , and i can't understand why they didn't show up tonight.Don't worry ralph it was ok that you had brain freeze on that drive right before the half when the score was tied and all you had to do was run out the clock and go into the locker room tied.It was ok that you only ran the ball for minius 7 yards and your offensive line stunk up the field again for the second consecutive week. It was ok ralph that you couldn't beat a freshman qb who was making his first start in a game. But don't worry ralph you finished 7 and 5 and you will be invited to a bowl game. Don't be jealous ralph because you have the same loyal following as gary does and they will be coming on here after me defending you as well.

I was surprised the Terps were still in it in the 4th.To evaluate the season for me,now;awkward, humbled but still interesting.I think the program needs a little tweaking next year and to play night and away games with poor results needs to be addressed. The bowl committees should consider Md. and I hope the Terps have a good time but still come to play to win.Ralph needs to shed 50 lbs. next year and that would benefit his life, too. It will be interesting to see where some Terps pick up conference awards after this season.

Too much inconsistency has come home to roost on the Terps football program. Inconsistency on the field and less than stellar recruiting and player development.

Forgot to comment that if Ralph, leaves this team IS done. Look at his record please, look at the record from before Ralph, and then come back and comment on who you would hire, and how you would improve the team. Only one team wins the championship each year, the rest 'lose'. I'll take Ralph's record over anyone else available to coach.

You are so out of touch it's pathetic.I could name skip holtz, kelly from cinn, and a few more young coaches out there that would take this program to new heights. Can't you see how stale this program is, you and the rest of these kool aid drinkers that have grown accustomed to just being average is what is wrong. You keep bringing up what this program did before ralph, you can't keep living in the past.Ralph's message has grown very old and the players don't respond to hime anymore. Why can't people see that .

I agree, it is time for a change. They can't win the big games. Some of the oplay calling I question. With 2 minutes left in the half and maryland on about the 15 yard line they are throwing the ball rather than try to run out the clock for half time. Turner throws an interception and they go into half with a 7 point lead. I think he is going to be a good quarterback but he reminds me of Vasquez on the basketball team, stupid decisions at certain times. Anyway the season is over for me. I have no interest if they go to a bowl game. I think they don't deserve to go based on the last 2 games. Go Ravens.

Why do you think that those coaches would come here, this is not a powerhouse program. And the Fridge is not going anywhere, he's needs to adjust some things and win their bowl game, probably in Boise.

Come on...they deserve to go to a bowl game...this team is not 6-6 and beat some quality teams.

Again those are two great and up and coming coaches, however why would they want to come here, if we fire a coach who has gone to 6 bowls in 8 years (counting the current season)? What kind of message does that send?

Because if you gave them the money and support that ralph gets and the oppurtunity to play in the ACC which is better then either one of those conferences that they play in. And the message would be that we will not tolerate being average anymore. Why can't anybody see that ralph has lost touch with his kids.Better coaches then ralph have recently been fired. Everybody but md and debbie yow expect better, and for that matter deserve better.

Step down? Are Frederick's village idiot? Another rebuilding program is not what UM needs just now.

One that all of the idiot posters who can't see past the end of their noses apparently want to send.

The weren't able to run the football, so with about 2 minutes left in the half, they were forced in a sense to pass. BC had a full compliment of time-outs remaining, so three runs and a TO after each, would have given BC the ball after a punt on about the 50, with about 1 minute remaining. MD attempted to pass, unfortunately it backfired and we saw the result.

They have the ability to win big games, but it boils down to some execution issues and mental mistakes. In addition, they had some seriously bad breaks within in the game (the muffed punt where they recovered, the fumble revovery), et cetera.

The message you send is that average is not good enough. That getting blown out by basically bad teams like FSU and Virginia and Virginia Tech is not acceptable. That wondering if you might get invited to horrible bowl game in not good enough. That being called an "Offensive Genius" and not having a decent D-1 quarterback on the roster after all these year is not acceptable.

In other words, the message you send is that there is accountability and Ralph is not getting it done.

BTW, if you think this is a bad year, wait until next year. This under-performing team has THIRTY (30) seniors on it. They will be even worse next season.
