...So you mean he's the Boller of the Terps? Sorry, but all the preparing and practicing in the world isn't going to help you if you can't prepare yourself mentally, and he can't. You're right Friedgen, the fans should be booing you,'cause you keep putting him out there to have his rearend handed to him.

The fridge is right.Lets boo the heck out of him after each loss.
The kid Steffy is ok and just trying his best.
So Fride no excuses and the terps better win.

Ralph, it is not Steffy we are booing....it is you, so I guess we're already doing what you want us to do. The problem is your conservative play calling and lack of apparent preparation. If I had Hey-Bey I would do fly pattern after fly pattern when there is single coverage. In your world this never happens. We play small ball until a flag, sack or fumble scuttles our drive game in and game out. This is what you are responsible for....and Steffy may be like a son to you but he lacks the arm strength to stretch the field.

How about someone asking Ralph why they didn't play action pass when they were running all over the BLue Hens? Yow needs to examine Freidgens statement very carefully. It's dangerous when a Head Coach is making emotional decisions because he feels like someone is his son rather then making decisions based on what's best for the team. Ralph, your players are not stupid. You say they support Steffy but they want to win and when they hear you making comments about Steffy being like your son it will make them start to question your intentions. What does that say to Turner? He should have transferred when he had the chance.

Don't worry Ralph, you'll get ALL the boos if you don't go to a bowl game this year. Also, yeah it's nice that he tries hard, but none of that matters because he stinks! Your job is to WIN, not coddle certain players and cut others that try just as hard or even harder than Jordan!

Ralph, we have been booing you and not the kid. You have botched this thing from the start and you continue to do so.

You are not looking at this objectively - it is clear you have an emotional attachment to Steffy and THAT is the problem.

Ralph is so delusional that he doesn't even recongize that the booing is for him.

Get over it Ralphie, booing is all part of the game...it is still a game, right?

The booing fans were not directing their annoyance at Jordan Steffy but at the misguided coaching of Ralph Friedgen. Fans are tired of watching coach Friedgen trying to force certain players into the quarterback position who are clearly not ready or simply do not the possess the right tools. The team has a player who stepped up last year when called upon and performed admirably. Yet coach Friedgen seems dead set on not allowing Turner to start because he doesn't fit Ralph's idea of a quarterback.

Coach Friedgen hired coach Franklin to breath new life into a sagging offense just like he did at K State. Coach Friedgen needs to step away from offense and let coach Franklin fully take the reins including putting in the right personnel on the field to run his offense.

Ralph, those boos you hear aren't for the players they're for you.

Steffy is a great guy but he is obviously not the best choice at qb for this time. Make the right decision Ralph, let go of your son, let it go, cry it out, it is ok. Please do the right thing and start Turner or this story will continue to go "round and round"

Coach has a lot of nerve putting out a subpar product on the field then asking the fans to just like it. He and steffey can go as far as i'm concerned.

I wonder if Flacco was still there if the Blue Hens would've blew out the Terps as good as Flacco was in college.

I do love sports, but I have to say that sports fans are a bunch of thoughtless, small-minded, low-class barbarians. Why would someone feel entitled to boo anyone? If it was you, or your son, how would you feel? You think athletes don't have feelings? It's a game, for pete's sake! Go out there, have fun (maybe think about cutting back a bit on the alcohol), and cheer for our kids. If you've got to be negative, stuff it.

we pay the tickets and pay for the cable to watch the games which gets Ralph his high price contract. Whats next are you going to say that it doesn't matter who wins or loses too. It's college football, it does matter. It's my team and I want to see them win and will boo if they put out a bad product on the field. Go to rec ball games if you don't like booing

steveg- let's hope everyone is booing the coach and decisions. In these hard economic times, we are still supporting the program with our hard earned money...and Ralph gets $2M. He's easily one of the most overpaid coaches in america and decisions like this and the non-sensical rants and explanations are insults to those who carry his water financially. there are rumblings in the pricey seats...he better be concerned about losing the fan base. many folks are sick of his poor management.
