I hold the offense accountable more than just the D.We need to become a little tougher when we have to.The D was on the field way too much against a good runner in Evans. We did'nt get killed this time;that's all I can say.

out coached and out hustled last night. offensive and defensive lines were pummeled. special teams allowed v tech to many return yards. team seemed flat for much of the game. not a good game.

Lift weights. Run wind sprints. Be in football shape. Have a good game plan and win. VA tech players were stronger. VA tech players were in better shape. VA tech coaches had a better game plan. Who won?

AS long as Ralph is the coach you are 100% correct. You better wake up Debbie yow before it's to late> You need to fire both ralph and Gary and get some young new blood down there. Ralph was completely out coached last night. Did you Md kool aid drinkers really think the out come was going to be any different. This team is terrible and doesn't deserve to get a bowl bid after losing to middle Tenn st , getting crushed by VA and VA Tech. They had to struggle at home to beat a very bad NC STATE team on a last second field goal. And please to be fooled earlier in the year by the team u[psetting 2 way over rated teams in californiia and clemson you already fired it's coach. Way better football traditional schools and football legends have decided to fire there over rated coaches FUllmer Tenn for over 30 years 150 wins and only 50 losses.Md needs to clean house with both Ralph and Gary and not continue to live in the past but face reality of what have you done for me lately.

Fire the coaches. Terrible game plan on offense and defense and the team just wasn't ready to play. The first half was embarrassing. We lost the game on the line play and coaching. Our offensive and defensive lines got killed. We couldn't stop the run and couldn't run the ball. We couldn't pressure their quarterback or protect ours. Cosh and Franklin are terrible. Everytime we got over the 50 yd line the play calling got extremely conservative. I don't even think we threw a ball into the endzone. Is this Billick ball again, playing for field goals? Terrible, terrible, terrible.

It's very simple. When I watch MD, I see a team that is not tough. To consistently get manhandled on the D-Line is embarrassing. The O-Line usually plays well against lesser talent but never plays well against top level talent which VT has had for a while. VT brings it every down and we can't handle a defense like that. I'm not even going to talk about our defense because their performance each and every week tells you everything you need to know. We are nothing more than an average team. Friedgen told ESPN that this team doesn't play well on the road or at night - WHAT? To me, that's all coaching and preparation. Friedgen has done a good job elevating the program from the bottom but I don't think he has what it takes to elevate us to the next level.

Until Ralph is fired, next year will be the same as will the year after and the year after and so on. Ralph's poor coaching, bad recruiting and poor staff selection was exposed a few years back. I would be surprised if they win another game this year. At least they could get rid of the horrible all white pajama uniforms. They suck. Maybe if they looked better they would play better.
However, as far as the recruiting goes, Ralph is at a disadvantage with that toilet they call Byrd Stadium. It has to be one of the ugliest facilities in college football. An upper deck only on one side, an open endzone at one end and the 4th smallest stadium in the ACC. Oh, but wait - there are expanding the pressbox. That should really bring in the blue chip talent!
Ralph, Gary and Debbie all have to go. We need energized individuals with new vision. These three have been there too long and are way too comfortable.

He has to recruit better on the defensive line, they have not been really good there since Merriman. He does have some pretty good recruits coming in though. They are pretty good a linebacker and the secondary is good also, the defensive line has been a problem since Cosh got there. If they go 7-5 and win a bowl game, the Fridge ABSOLUTELY should not be fired...the problem I have with some people is that i feel they are hoping he looses which is really sad. But don't forget they are still in the thick of things for winning the division title and it's not like they lost by 4 touchdowns or something, they were in the game in the 4th quarter.

Adrian, McCain would have run for 150 yards last night against Maryland (with Palin and Rove blocking for him).

I forgot about the 3rd-and-18 at the end of the first half. Apparently, the players didn't get the defensive signals on that play? What "signals" do you need on 3rd-and-18??

There are no haters here pal just people that are tired of watching this underachieving program flounder around. Ralph gets out coach consistently by the better coaches in this league. He will never and i repeat take this program to the upper level.

Merriman played off the line most of the time as a hybrid linebacker. What they need are space eaters that can stuff the run. Our D-Line and O-line are severely undersized and they get manhandled. We need more guys on defense that can play with their hands on the ground(3/4 point stance).

Another year, another Va Tech beat down. As a Terps fan, it seems the only sport MD can handle Va Tech is womens lacrosse. I am tired of losing to Va Tech. Missing the field goal on the opening drive really hurt.

Well, well. The hate-filled "Fire Friedgen" cretins are back this morning, right on cue. The Terps are 6-3, bowl eligible and still in the running for the ACC title. Could be worse. Think about it. You could be a Michigan fan (hey, here's a thought: let's fire Friedgen and bring in...Rich Rodriguez! Ha Ha!). Or you could be a Washington fan (let's get rid of Ralph and bring in Tyrone Willingham!). Or Tennessee (Phil Fulmer's available! He's won a natinal title). Oh, and how'd you like to be a Clemson fan? That'd be real fun these days.

Missing the field goal on the opening drive really hurt, what about a guy running for 253 yards in a game against you.

Yeah and being a terp fan the last 4 years in basketball and in football have just been ROSY. Don'y worry pal ralph will be joing that list of unemployed coaches real soon. He gets totally out coached in every big game . Don't come back and tell me well we beat Clemson and California, if you are watching lately you should now realize just how bad those 2 teams were. We beat a real bad Nc state 2 weeks ago on a last second field goal.Yea everybody just continue to be thrilled to death with the Job Ralph is doing.
