Your football program was built on dirty money.
And let's not even get started on basketball. Do you guys still buy cars for all of your star recruits?
Some of the stuff YOUR program has done makes phone call violations seem like nursery school.
You need to be paying attention to your own dirty program and its dirty coach. If the lying, cheating thieving Scamscum can bench Crawford for violation of team rules, why doesn't the lying, cheating, thieving dirtbag bench himself for violation of NCAA rules? TWICE!!

For the thousandth time -- this is the Indianapolis Star forum. Its not about IU, Purdue, Butler, whoever. Everyone can participate. The Star is the newspaper in the state that gets the biggest readership so it is the place to be for these discussions.

Ah. Another one of these obsessed Cryin' Illini hypocrites. They've had blatant cheating and major violations in their football and basketball programs. You guys still providing new cars for your recruits?

Do you willingly admit that Illinois beloved coach Lou Henson is a dirty CHEATER? He did waaay more than just "phone calls".

Secondly, are you seriously here because there are some IU fans talking trash on your Illinois forums? LOL. That's a little childish, don't you think? I for one have never visited an Illini form, nor would I care too. All you are doing is perpetuating silly and juvenile behavior.

Also, there are IU fans spread all over this country. Do you actually think that the IU fans who talked smack to you are the same people on these forums?

LOL. My god you are dumb. YOU are the one here from Illinois. You are the one crying cheater(and being a total hypocrite), and acting like a 14 year old kid.

Did you think you could just come in here and start crying 'cheater' without us pointing out how DIRTY Illinois' history is? It's funny you used the cliched phrase about "glass houses", because you should really consider taking your own advice.
Idiot.

And by the way, the only reason that Eric Gordon even considered attending Illinois is because Mike Davis was our coach, and everyone knew he would be getting fired. Once he WAS fired, Gordon changed his mind. Period. Now quit crying.

Anyway you cut it...Illinois has a much, much dirtier history than IU. And that's fact, not opinion.

I think you missed his point, Purdue fan. He is an Illinois fan from Chicago who only comes here to talk crap about IU.

Hey Illinois fans...tell me what all of these things have in common:

football slush fund
SUV
gifts
loans
Lou Henson
Jimmy Collins
Major Violations

Here's another hint:

"Illinois has a long history of National Collegiate Athletic Association violations in basketball and football predating the arrival of Zook and his staff before the 2005 season." -NY Times.

Is it out of the realm of possibilities to congratulate both teams on a good start to their seasons? In the case of my Hoosiers, I think they are still very early in their development as a team, with a long way to go to reach their potential. My perception is that Butler is farther along that path right now, where IU is still struggling to figure out how to fit the puzzle pieces together on both offense and defense.

Congrats to both programs.

And you think it will change? Come on, Gordon is just doing things for his draft highlight reel and will be there for one or maybe two years before he throws his hat into the draft ring.
Team means nothing when your draft rank is on the line. Score the most points, make the tough shots instead of passing to the open man, ME FIRST. It won't change at all.
Butler, on the other hand, has a bunch of guys who will probably never be drafted. They have no reason to hog the ball and so they play as a complete team.
Reader, you are soooo wrong. Don't you understand just how bad you make yourself look when you attack this young man? It is apparent that Eric Gordon is a fine person as well as a fine basketball player. As someone who roots for BU we don't really need you making posts like this and giving the Bulldogs a black eye. Give it a rest.

My point is the forums are open to people from anywhere. No one complains when someone from Chicago gets on and praises IU. It has to go both ways.

Ok, now after IU escapes at home against an unrated GT team.......

Still think were worth of that #8 ranking? I don't see it. Top 25 maybe....

what is that I smell...

.....a first round exit to Costal Carolina, Austin Peay, or Bloomington Junior College

...and somebody throwing a chair on the floor at Assembly Hall.

I am a IU and a Butler fan and will be unable to watch either game since espn has seen fit put both games on espnu which I dont have since I only have the middle package of dish. These are two big games in this state and of all channels for espn to put them on, it just has to be this oddball channel, this espn since a lot of people dont have this oddball channel.
