Full story: The Indianapolis Star

Re: Brian Ogrin's Jan. 6 letter: If the Browns had taken care of business against the lowly Bengals the previous week, Cleveland wouldn't have had to depend on help to make the playoffs.

Congrats to Bill Geringer on his comment on the browns.Being a browns fan all my life,I was hoping to see Indy get beat and Cleveland advancing to the playoffs, but Indy did what was best for his playoff bound colts, cleveland would have done the same thing or any other team for that matter,to protect his starters for the post season. But he is right is one respect."We will play it on the field next season"..

Where do you get off calling the Bengals lowly? That game went as most highly contested divisional rivalries do. Something the Colt's know nothing about. In the tough divisions you still have to look out for the bottom teams because everyone "gets up" for a division game. Division games are hard hitting, and it seems like they so often (as this one was) are played in cold weather. This guy can tell us how the NFL should work, when he follows a team that plays in a real division. IN a real stadium (outdoors). And no LOS doesn't count as outside. A sunroof does not equal a convertible.

Actually teh New York Giants went for the win in week 17. It had no effect on where they would be seated. The Cowboys on the other hand, like the Colts, rested the starters. The Giants are still playing, while Dallas and Indy are home.

Northwest high school has no moral obligation to call off the dogs, or in this case Space Pioneers. They should play hard buzzer to buzzer and use it as a practice. Is that how life works? When things get tough and the competition is great do our competitors give us time to get our stuff together? Grow up and let the kids learn the lessons athletics can teach
