Kyree Jones is now at LN? So let me get this straight. He was at Belzer, which feeds LC. He moves to Chicago for a year or two, and tranfers back into LN's district. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the kid, it was a good move on his part. But situations like this is making Blake Ress and the IHSAA look like the fools that they are.

what about Walter Offut from Warren Central? I think he should be included, since he has already been scouted by Ohio State and other schools

Surely you don't think that so many Lawrence North players are being scouted because the coach is so good! Well, he is good at SOMEthing -- recruiting. How many of those players used to live in Terre Haute? LN is the most crooked high school basketball program in the state!

No, no, no, you're all wrong!! It just happens that ALL the 7 ft. kids in Indiana live in Lawrence North's school district. There wouldn't be anything going on there would it? Couldn't be living in a rental property owned by the coach... could they? Sounds like you're all trying to find something, where nothing exists!!

What about Carmel??
Lets see, Stuart Douglas transferred for Hamilton Heights JUST for basketball. Last year, Jake Kelly who is going to Iowa transferred from Marshall, Ill and the Carmel administrators gave him mom a job at the school. Jordan Brewer, great player who transferred from Pike but is going to end up playing football at Purdue. The kid Newton, I don't remember his first name transferred from Pike. Need I say more about the good recruiting they do at Carmel. And, that being said, they still never win at anything except for swimming and golf.

What's this?.... people say Warren is recruiting football kids? Say it's not so!! Just like LN basketball, it just so happens that every kid with speed and size is finding a good community to live in Warren. They don't cheat. They don't recruit. They don't put kids in special ed so they can't fail and thus remain eligible for football.

Wait, they do cheat... channel 13 caught that on tape.... they do recruit too.... well certainly they don't manipulate the system so that kids are put in special ed... oh wait,.. they do that too... I think that is why the coach who left for Oklahoma got fired.... uh .. asked to resign there, because they wouldn't put up with that nonsense.

What's the matter with you people? Why can't you just be happy these kids are being recruited for college? Who cares where they live? Parents are going to locate their kids where the best programs are. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Hey Dope- I can't tell you about the other stuff, but the Newton kids father is Asst. Principal at Carmel HS. has been for years, not just recently.

They chose to build a home in the community where he works-what's wrong with that?

no sour grapes, just saying how did the best programs get to be the best programs? They cheated. I'm ok with opening things up and saying go where you want to- they do that in Florida and Georgia, but as long as we have the rules, follow the rules.

LN has 6 players on their roster 6'7" or taller... SIX! LC's tallest player, I believe is 6'6". Anyone with half brain have to wonder how this is happening. And Jones, who is a hell of a player, and who's dad, I believe is a college coach, was in the LC feeder middle school. Now he's at LN? LC fans should be livid.

maybe you should get your facts straight about warren central and what goes on there. first, yeah maybe they were caught on tape practicing, but i bet you a million bucks that numerous other highschools practice illegally too, actually i can name at least two. also, warren does not cheat, sorry that you are angry that your team hasn't one four straight state championships. kids are not put in special ed that don't need to be there, and nothing is done that's against the rules at warren. did they cheat in 1984 and 1985 when they won back to back state championships? oh okay just wondering, get your facts straight man and then say something.

Well,

I Guess Warren Central recuits Football Players, North Central Recruits Tennis and Swimming Athletes etc. Get a grip build a bridge and get over it. Great Athletic programs attend to attract athletes that want to excel in the field of sports.

Spew the Warren, we didn't do anything wrong line, please! Get over yourself, buddy. It has long been said there was funny stuff going on at Warren. Many said that the reason why Kevin Wright left Warren to go to Tulsa Union was because there was some scrutiny of the practices going on there at Warren in the first place. Why would you leave Warren with a huge upside in National prominence to go to Union? Especially when you had the team that you did returning at Warren? The final #3 ranking by Warren last year is higher than any that KW had, so, are we to assume that Coach Tutsie just did a better job?

Sure, they had a national program already at Union, KW didn't have to teach-he was just the football coach and Athletic Dir.- he got a 100K job etc. Sounds like a pretty decent job to me!!

I guarantee you he isn't getting 100K as an assistant football coach. My father, until recently was an assistant at a Top 20 national football school and he wasn't getting anywhere near that-but I'll bet you think Western Kentucky is paying out that kind of money-huh? They just made Div-1, you dumba--, he also didn't have that job before he was fired... err resigned from Union. He did some inquiry as to jobs in the Indianpolis area (HSE, but that wasn't very attractive because they actually wanted him to teach! Not be just the football coach- Imagine that!)before going to WKU.

FYI, there were many kids in the "assisted" program or whatever you call it at Warren and maybe they needed to be in the program, but that does not change the facts that they must take a test to be admitted to the program, the testing was administered by the head football coaches wife and once admitted to the program, you really have to try to fail in order to not stay eligible. Maybe it's on the up and up- just like all the 7 ft. kids in Lawrence North is on the up and up too!

You are Wright about one thing...ooopps,(Freudian slip) right about one thing, KW didn't want to be there. He got there and there was turmoil from the start. His single wing one-dimensional offense sputtered badly. They got their ass handed to them on national TV.(It is a lot harder to run that offense when the other teams have really good players too!) Changed the offense quickly, and meandered to a lame record for the returning state champions! He sure was impressive! He tried the same s--- with the testing out there and the school board blew up! Before you run off at the mouth that nobody knows anything etc. My wife's uncle was/is a head coach in the area. The football coaching community is small out there, believe me everyone knew what was going on. Liz felt uncomfortable because of the heat on Kevin and wanted to go. Union was happy to accommodate.

College is where he should be anyway- he can recruit there without having to worry (unless he breaks those rules too)
But it looks like you have a good handle on the situation all the way from NC. Damn your good!

Boys, Boys! Why are you so upset? We all know how the IHSAA deals with things, the same as the NCAA.

THEY DON'T! And they do not want to until someone forces their hand. Do you really think the NCAA wanted to get involved when Kelvin Sampson cheated at Oklahoma? Do you really think they want to deal with Ball State? Of course not. They turn their head and hope it goes away until someone dumps it right in their laps!

By the way- when you have "won" four championships instead of "one" four straight state championships, maybe you'll go to class too! Or are you won, oops, one of the special ed kids two, oops, to, oops, I mean, too! See what talking about Warren does to my writing skillz.... skills. Maybe I should go back to skool... err.. school at Warren and get a gud edumakation!!! You're still the smartest guy in Boone, NC though aren't you, Doctor!

sorry i made a spelling error. actually i lived in indianapolis my entire life, just graduated from one of the top 20 liberal arts university's in the nation and now am working in the sports world, but i dont need to justify myself to someone like you who has absolutley no idea what they are talking about. its okay some people will just stay angry because their teams have never won a state championship or have never done anything that spectacular. get over yourself man, you are just envious of warren and their success, and really with kevin wright you have no idea what you are talking about. get your facts straight.

Yeah, I guess recruiting out of 5th Grade is a real big issue in Terre Haute North or South is a real serious issue.
