Loyola loses at home
#1 Jan 4, 2009
You know, you hear no sports columnists talk about the state of college basketball in Chicago. Loyola once won a national championship. De Paul was a player on the national stage. Let's look at what we have. Loyola is an also-ran in a mediocre conference. DePaul is the pits of the Big East. Northwestern is usually at or near the bottom of the Big Ten. Who is Chicago State? Look at other big cities and what they have. We don't exactly have big time basketball like New York, LA or other cities, do we? Why?
