Hi Louisville Fans. I'm from the NJ area and was wondering what was up with DC? What is the major issue with him? Why isn't he getting any PT? Books, problem child, coach relationship? He's too good a player. Fill me in. Thanks

Hey Mo...apparently DC has had more personal problems rather than coach problems, seeing as he doesnt take to heart what Coach P says...DC obviously wants to play for UL and Coach P for the shear fact of losing 55 plus pound. But Pitino isn't want to mess around and will not put up with ones who are a bigger distraction in the locker room than contributing in effort in leadership on and off the court. He is amazing and one of my faves on the new freshman roster, and has done extremly well in the games (more like minutes) in games...

Derek Character was from my school growing up he was at louisville but then when he tried to go to the nba they regected him and then when he tried to go back to Lousivile they didnt really want him back saying her was a fuck up and was one of the most kids that was far behind in life that the university has ever seen.

After seeing Louisville getting bullied the way we did last night by UCONN We really could have used his body and his demeanor. Derek Caracter IS the best player Louisville has ever had and they squandered him. It's sad people didn't really get to see his genious on the court. I love Rick Pitino but deep down, i think Patino sabotoged him in order to keep him. DC never got a fair chance. I think Samardo and Jennings are excellent big men but Caracter was very special. He would have did more than stand up to Thabeet. Thabeet is a beast! I think caracter would have kept UCONN from PUNKING us...yes...we got punked and bullied. Louisville better be ready to go to war next time. We don't play coochie ball. So next time we gonna man up and kill UCONN. Still wish we had Caracter though. But...UCONN will never beat Louisville again...UCONN just pissed Louisville off. They will NEVER beat us again this year. Talk about a chip on the shoulder....Louisville is gonna WIN it ALL this year. Expect a fistfight in the big east tournament! Louisville is about to crush the conference. We just learned a lot.

I saw DC play at a tournament in NYC at Chelsea Piers. (WOW) Pitino never used him right.

I think Rick know a lot more than us and what ever he does i will have his back he is a brain. But i really don"t think earl is ready to go pro i think he should come back for his last year.

E-5 is 6' 11'(2 inches taller than he's listed) has over a 7' wingspan and if he got the calls that he's going to get in the NBA, he'd score 30 points a night. Don't worry, with a rotation of Samuels, Jennings and Goode the Cards are gonna be just fine. Replace T-Will's passing with Siva's passing and the only thing we are going to lose is leadership. But T-Will matured this year and took over Padgett's leadership role. Someone will just have to do the same next year. We have Coach P, baby! We are going to be making noise late in the tourney for years to come!

You don't change your system to "use a player right." Either the player learns your system and fits in, or he doesn't. DC never fit in; on or of the court. He has spectacular ability. He has one of the quickest spin moves I have ever seen for a big man. But his head is not in the right place for college or professional atheletics. Pitino was his best chance to "learn" anything about life. I doubt we will hear much about him again.
