Trap for Warriors set in Reno

If you wanna break out separate portions of quoted text to respond on a point-by-point basis, just enclose each separate portion of text by inserting a QUOTE in [square brackets] before it, and a /QUOTE in [square brackets] after it.(Just mimic the format of the standard "Reply," but no need to do that "name" thing each time.) Do that for each separate portion of text, and stick your point-by-point responses in between.

The players playing right now including 13 from Idaho were recruited my Hawkins. He's still coaching Hawkins players including the 13 from Idaho.
It'll be his team in five years because that's when his recruits starts to play. In the mean time, Hawkins still got his name stamp on it.
See Fred, Graunke is our back up QB. He was introduced as our back up QB because COLT is still listed in our program as our Starter.
Now, BSU won convicingly in your SPUD Bowl. But our backup QB is the player of the week. Our kicker is player of the week.
You keep bringing up the time out Coach Ault took? It's called strategy to ice the quarterback. It did not work, so stop DREAMING, game is over, we won...
Oh yeah, like all you arm chair QBs, you would be celebrating and say, "GREAT CALL" to ice the kicker, and in Fred's dream, Nevada wins....
BOZO!!!WAKE UPPPP!!!!!!
Ice the quarterback..you meant kicker. I call it the wrong strategy. Kelly is a solid kicker and has been all year.(808 your selling your kicker short). Good strat for a so-so or weak kicker. Strong kicker..made it the first time and drilled it the second. Dumb call on Ault to run the game clock down and use his time outs. I would have assumed Kelly would make it and save all the clock and timeouts to give my team a chance. Instead NV had one play. Same wacko reason goes for his earlier timeout before the punt on the other end when NV had the ball and had destiny in their own hands. Called timeout right away instead of running the clock down. Not dissing Ault because he is a class guy and a good coach but the last 3ish minutes of the game he made some strange calls..

Also for the dissing of the WAC continues. Indiana kicker is a nom of play of the week for a game winning kick and Kelly no mention in a huge implication if the kick is missed. just another reason for a playoff system and getting the WAC some respect.

Although I'm a warrior fan, I'm not going to be unreasonable and put down the broncos as the lesser team. BSU has a very good program and so does Hawaii. As much as BSU is our bitter rival, I cheered my ass off for the broncos during last year's Fiesta Bowl against the sooners. It was the best college football game I've ever watched. The warriors are going to have their hands full this Friday against the broncos. It won't be a pretty game, as a matter of fact, I think it will decide in the final few minutes. But I do believe this is the year of the warriors and they should prevail. However, in the event that BSU wins, I'm still going to cheer for them in their Bowl game. Both Hawaii and BSU are doing a great job representing the WAC. I have nothing bad to say about BSU but come this Friday, I'm cheering for Colt and the gang. Before you put down either teams calling them weak this weak that, just remember that both are in the same conference and doing a fine job representing the WAC.
Exactly the way I feel Aina. We are all hoping that the Warriors win Friday. They are our team. But if they don't, and BSU happens to get a bowl bid, then we will root for them to rep the WAC. Sadly, the WAC gets no respect in the national football picture. However it comes out Friday, it's going to be a great game with two really good teams.

On another note, regardless of how much Boise fans want to slam the Warriors on this thread, everyone should agree what a great job Graunke did on that last drive against Nevada. Less than two minutes left, no timeouts left, starting on the twelve yard line. He gets the team within field goal range with 11 seconds left, in 13 plays. Great time clock management. Then Kelly comes in and kicks the winning field goal, TWICE. This is great football, not a reason to slam a team.

Warrior fans, we can rest well, knowing that when Colt leaves after this season, our team is in great hands with Graunke. He is going to develop into another great quarterback produced by June Jones and the Warriors.

Go Warriors!!

Aloha Kamaaina Spud of Kailua...

I meant icing the kicker. Thanks for the correction.

Honestly, like the BSU fans, I'm just as passionate for Hawaii as they are. Outside of this historic game and WAC plays another conference, I root for the WAC. So, for this winner take all game, May the best team win and hope a WAC team can get in into a BCS game to represent us all and give us (WAC) respect.

Just my point and it's been the talk of all news sports casters is the inserted new rule to expand that at large invitation. This rule is not to accomodate Hawaii or BSU, it's a rule to keep more BCS teams in the running so they may get to play a BCS bowl.

It's all about the money, the bottom line of GREED. They have taken away the innocense of amateur players and turn it into a money making machine to the chosen few.

I believe that it's time for all college presidents to come together and put the NCAA the governing body and push them to come up with a playoff for the top 12 teams, or conference champions to battle it out and come up with the Natural National Champions. It's only fair since we pay this NCAA officials that suppose to be watching out for amateur athletes while getting their college education.

808 i agree with everything you say. Actually I don't mind the way the BCS is setup, the only probalby I have is how there are non-bcs teams. In Division 1 football, or whatever they are calling it know, everyone should be equial. Get rid of so called non bcs conferences and just make everyone on the same playing ground. Then the current rules for the BCS would work fine. Why don't they just do that, does anybody know? Or am i just off in my thinking?

I was listening to one of two sports talk show this morning and the Div-1 consist of 119 teams. That's the BCS, who gave themselves that name from the grand daddy conferences, and the rest of us although Div-1, got stamp with the name non-BCS.

They rated BSU schedule this year from the 119 teams in Div-1 as the 119th Strength of Schedule (SOS) and Hawaii was 120th. The BCS people also says that the bottom teams in these BCS conferences are way better than BSU and Hawaii in the SOS.

Also, the new BCS rule adopted and inserted for these BCS Bowl applies to at large BCS teams. That is to say that if a BCS team whether they lose 2-3 games can still be given a BCS Bowl if they are rank high and a runner-up in their conference championship.

The WAC don't have a conference championship playoff. So, it hurts us and most of the non-BCS conferences that don't have a playoff system.

The talk show host mentioned that with the new BCS rule, it doesn't matter what the outcome is between Hawaii and BSU because, Hawaii even if the go undefeated, they'll play in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl and BSU in the Humanitarian Bow. Why is that, because Washington Huskies, a part of a BCS conference don't have win-loss column to hold us up to propel us into the BCS Bowl?

So disturbing and helpless as a WAC member.

that is sersiously messed up. 1st of the WAC doesn't have a playoff becuase every team in the WAC plays every other team in the WAC. I saw that new rule, its so stupid. I saw early in the year before UH got into the meat of there schueudle that the powers that be were rating there SOS at like 140th or some crap like that, i thought that was ridiculous since there are only 119 teams in div 1 football. The system is so messed up. And just becuase our (BSU's and UH's) SOS is low doesn't mean that either of us woudln't stomp bottom feaders from any of the BCS conferences.

To be precise, Div 1 consists 242 programs compirsed of 1A Football Bowl Subdivision (119 teams) and 1AA Football Championship Series(123) teams. No other NCCAA Div 1 atheltic sport is separated in this elaborate manner.

The Sagarin rankings are quite interesting. Sagarin makes no distinction between 1A & 1AA. Results are made from 1 down to #242. There are numerous 1AA programs that could be legit 1As. North Dakota Sate is one such program, imo.

Florida International University (long considered the worst D1 of all time) is ranked #174.
Notre Dame is #99.

Agree...But they included the 1-AA just this year and named it whatever after the first week because of what Appalachian State did to Michigan.

To me, I believe the BCS power mongers did that to again justify that maybe, really maybe that a non-BCS team can beat them on any given day.

By expanding the number of teams, they can now justify the SOS against the BCS because non-BCS have to play their conference members. So, if you pit the bottom feeders of the BCS teams, of course they come out ahead from teams like BSU, Hawaii or the other conference that bolted from the WAC, MWC.

NCAA just put a new coat of paint over an existing house. Before the change it was Division 1 (now 1A) and Division 1A (now 1AA). Just a bunch of new fancy logos with the NCAA stamp of approval.

BCS system every year has been tweeked and modified. Certian criteria stressed one year is minimized the next. New rules about allowing teams consecutive bowl appearances now in effect. Gah, its a pain in the azz.
