Wright-Jackson is ready to show his stuff

One of Leon Wright-Jackson's best moments at Hawaii was based on sound advice. "My high school coach would tell me, 'Don't think so much,' " Wright-Jackson said. Full Story

This guy is an absolute stud and should be the #1 RB after a year in this offense.

Does this mean Pilares got switched to slot back?

I have a feeling that the Warriors running game will be surprisingly good. It won't matter who starts, both Libre and Wright-Jackson will give the other teams fits. LWJ is the type of player every team needs to succeed.

Pretty good interview by Jason Kaneshiro. The background info didn't reveal anything we didn't already know, but the questions gave some interesting answers. Learned some good things about the guy. I won't try to guess about how Leon will do when they finally start playing games. There's too much talk already, like I thought Ron Lee wanted a bruising running back, but Pilares is #1 with Leon? Whatever; actions speak.

Pilares got moved to slotback before spring training began. The #1's are LWJ and Libre.

If Pilares studied his playbook and gets on the same page as Graunke (or whoever the QB is) he should have a huge year playing in the slot position.

I'm rooting for you Leon. Make this your year to shine. Just remember it's a team effort. Your not alone. You are surrounded by proud Warriors who want nothing more than to do their best to win every game.

Before I forget I believe there will be three backs to play this season. It will depend on the plays that are called who willl be in the backfield. This will be to the RB's advantage. They will be able to tire out the defense yet be very strong in the fourth quarter.

Hope UH will do as well without

coach Jones.

Jones sold out the players. Fresno State's Defense was more physical than Georgia's. He used Wright-Jackson to keep the speed rushers on the end honest by making Wright-Jackson bubble out of the back field and Brennan dumping it to him and making good yardage. We needed Wright-Jackson ability to keep the Georgia defensive ends honest but Jones for whatever crazy reason did not use him after the Fresno game. Don't get me wrong, Libre is good but Wright-Jackson is at a totally different level.

As a season ticket holder, I've watched him the whole year. The guy got speed but has no vision nor explosive moves and is slow to slide over on his blocks. Hopefully he's better this year.
