This is a shame to hear because you would think that someone who has this much potential would make better choices in their life.

Throw the book at him and punish him to the fullest extent of the law. He does not deserve to walk the streets.

Your right, had he gone there he would certainly be charged with rape too.

I'm shocked and dismayed! You mean to tell me that a Ball State basketball major (you'll note that the article didn't say he graduated in 2000, just he was done playing) was involved with something like this?
Oh wait, that's right. I'm not shocked at all. Nor dismayed... I am, however, quite cynical.

if it were child molestation he could get out in a few years. our laws are so backwards. 30 years is ridiculus. all you right wing bible thumpers should sign up to pay extra taxes to help solve the worlds ills, me I will mind my business and hope real criminals get locked up for 30 years. that includeds, murderers, rapist, molesters, robbers, corporate swindlers but not drug users or dealers who it cannot be proven have a connection to the previously mentioned real crimes or other violent offenses. you know I think most of what you and your wife do in the bedroom is still technically illegal, should we lock you up for 30 year you judgemental small minded idiot.

Gotta make money in this town somehow. Selling drugs is much faster and more profitable than working one of our 6.00/hr service jobs (if you can find one).

Ray Mcallum must be so proud. He should have stayed over seas where it is harder to get busted for drugs

This may be true in SOME countries, but the majority of the places "overseas", behavior of this type will lead to extremely harsh prison sentences, harsh corporal punishment that can and often leads to death, or an automatic death sentence.

Surprisingly enough, crime (at least by civilians) is extremely low.

Kind of makes you wonder...

I agree, these harsh sentences for drug offenders started during the Reagan administration when crack hit the scene. We need the Libertarians to take over and change these ridiculous drug laws.

The drug problem in this TRASHY REDNECK CITY is way out of hand. 98.456% of the citiy's white people do not like black people. It is hard to say if he will get a fair trial, but you never know. It seems like he got caught red handed, so he better take a plea deal.

Good one..really shows how some people cry wolfwhen they and everybody else know that person has done wrong. He was dealing cocaine what do you want people put in jail for? People have the right to there own beleifs(may be wrong or different from yours) welcome to AMERICA! We have the right to our own beliefs. By the way, Muncie is prodominate African American, might want to do a little more research on percentages before making yourself look like an ass.

that's what happens when kids go to school for sports and not for an education. They don't care about the education just there to play sports. Part of the problem is the kids, but also the administration for allowing this attitude to exist. this happens in the big money sports bball/football. they make the school money then eligibility up, thrown away. it's up to the kids to get their education, yes, but the administrations should have a moral obligation to make sure they graduate and become productive in society. the administrations turn a blind eye to these athletes, let them take BS classes just so the stay eligible and make the school money.
To the kids: you're at Ball State or IUPUI or ISU. Newsflash you ain't going to the NBA or NFL. Make sure you take advantage of this athletic gift and make the most of it by getting your education and graduating. you can eventually take the route this kid did or you can get serious and make something of your life, choice is yours, cause as Sonny in A Broxn Tale said "Nobody Cares". Yeah, down the road, nobody but yourself. Wise up guys.
